Since it’s been 4 days, ill go ahead, here’s one that’s not too hard to guess… not too unpopular but not mainstream either… one of my favorite films of all-time.

Alright, ill give you some more clues… this broke the record of the highest grossing film of all-time in the country in which it was made and had a director and leading actor that would go on to do one of the most successful netflix show, which had essentially a sanitized and more mainstream friendly version of the style of this film.

Yep, that’s it. It only has loose connections with the original and is thematically different. It’s a better film too imo (but both are masterful). Probably my favorite crime film.
