In motion it’s, somehow, even worse.
Looks like something taken out of David Lynch’s movie.
I saw that “Sacco and Vancetti” will come to BluRay in Japan. Maybe a harbinger. Also, in Spain a bootleg BluRay of “the Jericho mile” is listed, now I am hoping for a legit release somewhere else. it is a fantastic movie
I’ve just seen a few of the UK BBC TV programmes planned for Christmas…
What a load of CRAP!
Mostly repeats of films aired numerous times already throughout the year; excretable ‘comedy’, dire, depressing soap-operas (‘Egg-Benders’ and ‘Contipation Street’); and regurgitated dross featuring today’s ‘so-called’ celebrities.
Ironically, the only real high-lights are repeats of ‘Morecambe & Wise’, ‘The Two Ronnies’, Dad’s Army’ etc - the oldies that used to make the Festive period ‘special’, and a happy, joyous period, and not a slog of ‘shite-a-la-croute’ that passes (quite literally through the anus) for entertainment nowadays.
Thank goodness for having my own collection of festive frivolity and sweet ever-lasting memories…
This year in my little side room, replete with TV, tree, hot-water bottle, Quality Street sweeties, nuts, and several bottles of beer and wine, I will be watching:

And there’s always #Deucember
I’m with you there @Toscano, I stick strictly to my DVDs and Blu Rays for the Christmas season. Turner Classic Movies shows some good stuff every season which is an exception to the rule.
I always start out my season with Una Pistola per Ringo and go on from there.
Earlier this week I watched the Indicator Blu Ray of Cash on Demand with Peter Cushing and Andre Morell and had a lot of fun with it. I’m still not sure if it counts as a Christmas film even though it does take place 2 days before the holiday and the character’s constantly reference the season.
Boris Karloff’s The Grinch and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation are my favorites.
