COVID Quarantine Update #2:

I’m feeling almost 100% better, and I should be able to finally go outside by this Saturday. My allergies seem to be the only thing really bothering me right now, which is fantastic. Got a good chunk of my sense of taste and smell back.

Good to hear that you are on the road to recovery… :+1:

glad to hear, amigo!

Congratulations !

You have now received a broader immunity than any current vaccine can provide against SARS-CoV-2 and thus including against the variants.

If you didn’t know that, it is due to the interaction between the virus and the specific immune systeme and in particular the CD8+ T-cells that kill the infected cells, and this results in an unique immunological memory of the conserved internal viral proteins that do not change as often as the spike protein against which the vaccine generates antibodies and so does the other immunological memory after infection.

It is the same mechanism that heavily reduces the number of influenzas a person catches, without any vaccination.

This is why for example it is meaningless to get a vaccination if you already have had covid-19, and furthermore it increases the risk for adverse events since many different body cells would produce the spike protein after vaccination and, which is the risk, the immune systeme would strongly remember the spike protein and act accordingly.with a inflammatory response. It could be extra risky in seldom cases if it occurs in an inappropriate organ such as the blood vessels.

Finally out of Quarantine today and am 100% better. Save for my allergies, I’ve got nothing else wrong.

Good to know that you have beaten the bug, so to speak. Great to have you back in top form… :+1:

After a 30-year marriage, I’ve just had my decree absolute come through, this morning, and everything is dissolved.

Not sure how to feel…sadness, or joy? Joy probably, because I can still hold a civilised conversation with my ex.- which makes all the difference.

The ending of one chapter, and the beginning of another… :slightly_smiling_face:

Good things, and new beginnings ahead… :grinning:

I just wanted to give out a big THANK YOU to everybody who gave their best well wishes when I was in Quarantine due to COVID. This is a fine community of gents and a few ladies, and that we all show support for each other in the times it’s needed just reinforces to me what a great group we have here.

I know it’s a few days late, but I’m really sorry Toscano. Hope you’re doing alright.

Well said, a bright future ahead I’m sure!

I’ve known quite a few divorcee’s over the years, and it does get better. You and your ex still being amicable and cordial with each other is a big plus. Hope you’re OK, and hope the next chapter is exciting.

Good to hear that you’ve recovered from that wretched Covid. :+1:
Stay well, and stay smiling…

I love this animation…it puts me in the mood for another viewing of the superb ‘Rango’.

It also brings to mind Sergio Leone’s original intention for the beginning of ‘Once Upon a Time in The West’…which was to bring back the three main characters from ‘GBU’ (Eastwood, Van Cleef, and Wallach), and have them gunned down by Harmonica…

Rango was excellent

Great short Toscano, I don’t think I’ve seen it before. It does remind me of Rango, though, and the video game Red Dead Revolver. Cartoon characters seem to lend themselves particularly well to the Spaghetti Western genre (maybe because exaggerated personalities are such a staple in some of the most famous films).

Early picture of Mario Brega?

No, it’s Oliver Hardy!

Also looks kinda like Kubrick.

I think that’s @aldo . :slightly_smiling_face:
