Spagvemberfest 2020

I begin to wonder if you take us all for fools

Oh man, I have this one on my list :worried:

This thread slowly turns into a torture chamber.

Man I would love to find that poster for I Senza Dio

Stella Stevens was my serious crush :heart_eyes_cat: growing up. Love knowing she made a spaghetti western. And as usual she’s smoking hot here.

@Phil_H what region is the Koch release for A Taste of Killing? I am trying to find it but it’s not available here in the US in Region 1.

The Koch set that includes Taste of Killing is Region 2. I own two region free blu ray players so I pretty much buy from wherever I like and I highly recommend getting one. If you own a laptop you can play whatever region you like as well as they have something that properly confirms to each encoding.

As makesthemovie says, it’s Region 2.
This is the set I have it in.

Day 4 is another random SW Day and I went with

Dio Perdoni La Mia Pistola

The print the YouTube channel Films&Clips has is fair quality, but there’s a lot of gaps like there was a lot of unusable footage they had to cut. The audio is hearable but clearly has not been taken care of. It’s still enjoyable, but definitely needs a TLC restoration.

There are a couple I own that I haven’t watched yet. I’m sure those will fill the final slots.

  1. Colizzi: God Forgives, I Don’t
-One of the favorites. I watched the new scandinavian blu-ray release which looks good but I don’t think there is much improvement from Dutch dvd I already had, especially since the Finnish subtitles are f***ed up. I believe they are actually the subtitles for the alternative english dub which is missing from this release. 8/10

Technically speaking it isn’t a ‘Spaghetti’, as there’s no Italian input … it’s a British/Spanish production.

I still have a soft spot for it, though it’s not one of the greats … I can’t stand Martin Landau, in anything … and here he is playing a Mexican Colonel … not that he’s a bad actor per se, he’s just not suited to extreme characters … He’s bland, … he’s Martin Blandau!

He was excellent as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood.

Finally we get the long awaited blu-ray review from Bill San Antonio himself.

Currently watching: Garringo.
Aside from some very solid acting and a straight forward plot, I find it looks rather bland and comes across as very medicre stuff.

“No one gives two fucks for Bela’” … was a funny line, but the movie on a recent 2nd viewing doesn’t amount to much. Better off watching the real thing.
Also, Johnny Depp was awful in it … but that’s just MHO

Back to the Spaghetti … nothing to see here.

Done with Garringo and on to the next. I felt I needed a pick me up after that one so I opted for The Hills Run Red as my next festival entry.
