Spaghetti Western Posters

Nice one Rev.

My german posters:

Like The Great Silence one :).

I think Frank Wolff’s face on that one is great!

I like the van Cleef poster, he really looks cool on that one.

As Stanton’s still got his clothes off - it must still officially be Christmas - so here’s a coupla seasonal ones … The Christmas Kid and [i]Face Of An Angel/i.
I’m trying to work out what film the Gemma one is for? The director is ‘Calvin J. Paget’ (Padget) and I know that translates as Giorgio Ferroni, so that narrows it down to 3 Gemma films. I haven’t seen Fort Yuma Gold yet, and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen Wanted and Blood for a Silver Dollar - so which film has Gemma hitching a lift underneath a train (I thought I would’ve remembered this) and a bloke getting shot in the face through his hat (ditto)? These are two of the 5 mini-pictures shown on the poster. Anybody?

@ Gemma movie: the movie is I Lunghi Giorni della Vendetta - they made a mistake: the director is not Ferroni, but Vancini
The title ‘Cara de Oro’ (Angel Face), refers to the alternative Italian title, ‘Faccia d’Angelo’, which also became one of Gemma’s knicknames. The line above Gemma says: better looking than ever.

Of course it is! Thanks scherpy - knew I could count on you. I was fooled and puzzled by the Paget reference.
I’ve got the X-rated box of … Vendetta in front of me and it’s even got a piccy of Gemma under the train on the cover. Duh :-[!!

I only got two movie posters hanging round my place, both in the kitchen:

There might be room for another one…

There is one Sugar Colt poster I like. May be I can find it somewhere.

Danish Day of Anger poster:

Danish title Hvem TrÌkker Først? translates to Who Draws First?

There are some great posters here, especially the Danish ones. I love the comic-book feel to them! Thanks for sharing them with us guys!

Some real classic stuff in here, keep 'em coming !

OK I’ll throw another one:

Danish poster for $20.000 on No. 7 aka 20.000 dollari sul 7

An interesting ‘feature’ about this poster is that the cast mentioned on the poster doesn’t match the movie itself. Looks like a 30-year old copy/paste error. The cast matches the one from Kill the Wickeds

The movie program which was released to the Danish cinema-audience at the time contains the right cast though.

I like the term “SPAGHETTI WESTERN” on the poster!

Well it IS a spaghetti western so what did you expect

Danish poster for Quel caldo maledetto giorno di fuoco aka Gatling Gun:

It wasn’t only the Germans that were overly fond of putting Django into every spaghetti western title, the Danes followed closely behind… The translated title reads Dollars for Django

Well, it is one, but I think the label SW on a poster is new to me.

Hmmm… Yes I honestly can’t remember if I’ve seen it any of my other posters. 20.000 dollars etc. was released in Denmark in 1969 … Anybody know when the phrase Spaghetti Western was coined ?

Hard to tell… Haven’t heard, seen or read anything about it yet.
