Rolling Roadshow-Almeria

cool thanks for the info. now I need to hope for a shower of money, then I COULD go
where you at? germanwings or tuifly are a bit cheaper but might not fly from close to you(germanwings has more options). there seems to be one hostel in almeria http://www.hihostels.com/dba/hostels-Almeria-051011.de.htm
no idea if this is close to the movie showings. but it should be possible to find something. just be aware that there are hostel(like jugendherberge, and you are still a student so you can bare that, right)and hostal(like pension in deutschland, more expesive but you they normally have double or triple bed rooms.)so i guess a hostel would be the best. unfortunately sites like hostels.net or wordhostel.com dont show any available for june. Hope you can make it. I won´t. If i go to spain i go to Cadíz to visit a friend of mine
well the flight is not really the problem, the thing is that i just don’t have ANY money right now

I’ve already sold a kidney, but I’ll buy you a pint. ;D
I’ve already sold a kidney, but I’ll buy you a pint. ;D
you shouldnt drink without a kidney anyway. so give the beers to him.

I’ve one spare kidney and 3 spare beers - one’s for you amigo if you change your mind and come and see your real friends…

I am off to the pub to get in some practise Rev. Shall I tell them to put it on your account…oh didn’t I tell you I have started a tab for you…Keith said pay it next time you are in our part of England…cheers.

I think ya gonna need it Tigger - last time I saw ya you were getting a bit squiffy on ya lil’ ones wine gums. Be careful with that half of lager-top tonight! Anyway I don’t think that tab’ll break the bank shekels-wise.
Cheers amigo! Be careful.

Think I might be a long distance convert Rev. You must be bloody good.
At Oddies I decided that as I am off to sunny Espana with a bumkin coider (no I am not dailysexic) drinker I should try the local hostelry’s poor imitation of said beverage. Surprisingly (for me but maybe not you) it were bloody good and even though it weighed in at 1.5 times the ABV I feel less groggy and it was totally more refreshing on my pallet than the quality real ale I normally quaff. I am a believer.
For the record it were Aspall’s…a Suffolk cider…very nice at 5.5 ABV.

Aspall’s is indeed a fine quaffable drink.
I myself, never suffer ‘hangovers’ - only visions and divine illumination. Believe!
Ahhh…the Hostal Alba!!!
That is my favorite place to stay in Spain.
Clever ol’ Phil has secured us accomadation at said establishment by all accounts ;D so thanks for the tip Chris. And no need to crash on Julio’s floor anymore.
Now if only Tigga can get his passport in time … :stuck_out_tongue:

De nada, amigo!
I just hope your experience there is as fun as mine was. It won’t take long for you to see some great sites in Los Albaricoques. Since I was there, they tell me that the classic FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE duel arena has been rebuilt and that there are historical (and yes even hysterical, I hear!) markers with photos, and so forth, showing you where things were shot.
Like I said, in the lobby/restaurant of the Hostal Alba you will see quite a few posters and photos. I gave a lot of the black and white 8x10 photos that you will see on the walls to Senor Manuel (the hotel’s owner) back in 2005. I wonder if he would remember me, at all…
Not likely, but you never know…

In the same area, you guys could head up the road to the Cortijo de Fraille. This is the old mission that was used in THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY, BULLET FOR THE GENERAL, and others. The back side of the place was also used as the Agua Caliente hideout used by Indio and his gang (where they beat up Eastwood and Van Cleef, etc.) in FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE. That is a must see and only takes a few minutes from Los Albaricoques.
My directions are crap, by the way, or I would rattle off exact locations and directions, and so forth.
I was always lucky enough to be with a couple of professional Almeria location specialists when I was over there!

Man Alive, I wish I was going with you guys!!!

okay so where r u guys staying? i’m looking for something CHEAP and if it means staying at the hostel

Hostel Alba ;D of course - Phil’s booked our rooms so worth a word with him maybe …

celebrity news ticker:

Alex de la Iglesia might be there, too

“The good the bad and the ugly”, will be in EL CORTIJO DEL FRAILE, next to Los Albaricoques.

Thanks - you going to be there amigo?

I believe you are right Seb…and with my rough Spanish I take it that juanbrevas mentioned the stuff that comes with it…posters or summit that are worth 60euros?

read/buy there.

i can sit on the ground, but the after-show parties sound interesting. unless Quentin is so kind and lets me tag along, we’ll have to play barflies or drive down to the coast and take some mamacitas with us

Well the after show party sounds like it could be fun but personally I’m more looking forward to hanging out with the SWDB lads. That’s where the real action is I reckon. Maybe if QT and the other celebs behave themselves we’ll let them join our party.

I’ll try to set something up. this is Quentin’s favorite website aside from porn, after all.
