In this age of prima donna behaviour from celebrities, Swayze stood out as one of the truly nice guys of Hollywood, who uncharacteristically was married to the same woman for over 30 years. A versatile actor as well, performing a wide range of roles.

He had lost a lot of weight and was in alot of pain so at least his death ended his suffering.

One of the greatest Hip Hop DJ’s ever Roc Raida has died due to complications after an undisclosed spinal injury. I know there aren’t a lot of hip hop fans here but he was my age, one of the best ever & a close personal friend of mine.

Hip hop wasn’t on my radar so I hadn’t heard of him. But I’ve just goggled him and been watching a few ‘tubes’ of him. There’s one where he’s explaining ‘how to’ and he keeps saying “I shouldn’t be fuckin’ showing you this” and then laughing. Undoubtably he had a real talent as well as a sense of humour, even that much is obvious to a non hip hopper such as I, and this is a sad loss to the world of turntablism and to you Darren. Belated RIP.
