R.I.P. Legends Lost but Remembered

Just saw on Facebook that Roger Browne died.
Better known for his appearances in Eurospy and Peplum flicks he did a lot of dubbing in Italy and provided voices on countless Spaghetti Westerns. I know some people who met him and they say he was a nice guy.

Almost got him confused with the Roger Brown who played poor Lazarus in the original Star Trek, but this Roger had a more rugged looking appearance from his IMDb photo. I’m sure he had a whole lot of fun during his cool sojourn in Italian cinema and also sure he equally enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures with others. RIP.

Paul Di’Anno, the lead singer with Iron Maiden across their first two albums Iron Maiden in 1980 and Killers in 1981 has died. He had many health issues but was a prolific live performer despite having to do so for many years in a wheelchair. He was 66.

RIP

RIP Paul. Those two first Maiden albums are very dear to me.

Sad to hear the news. I saw this version of Iron Maiden live at Colston Hall in 1980. Paul Di’Anno added a punk credibility to the band’s NWOBHM sound. Half the tracks on the debut album are still in the band’s set list today, including their signature track: ā€˜Running Free’, which was co-written by Di’Anno. Although, according to Mick Wall he had long since sold off his royalties. R.I.P.

RIP to him. Heavy Metal was one music genre I couldn’t fully get into, but I’ve heard a lot of praise for Iron Maiden and their style over the years. For a while there was a female tribute band to them, but I don’t know if they’re still active.

Same here. I must admit that I have never been into ā€˜Iron Maiden’.
However, there has been so much love and respect expressed in this thread for this gentleman, that I can’t help but say R.I.P. Paul Di’Anno.

I think that you will be very much missed by your fans.

Rock on.

R.I.P. …I’m not the biggest Iron Maiden fan but their influence and place in metal history is undeniable. His memory will live on forever.

Adios to a multi-talented musician, composer, and producer…

I love his legendary scores to ā€˜The Italian Job’ (1969); ā€˜In the Heat of the Night’ (1967)…

Watched ā€˜The Italian Job’ for the very first time on the big screen a few months ago and it was brilliant.

I love his score from the underrated flick ā€˜The Anderson Tapes’

My uncle texted me about Hackman’s passing, had no idea his wife and their pet dog died too, that’s double tragic. With foul play having been ruled out, my guess would be there was a gas leak and carbon monoxide built up and hence what happened. RIP to Mr. Hackman, his wife, and their dog.
