R.I.P. Legends Lost but Remembered

I hadn’t heard of Mark Damon’s passing which comes as a bit of shock after I literally just rewatched Johnny Yuma last night (his best SW for me), may he rest in peace indeed

Godspeed Johnny Yuma!

I see Phillipe Leroy has passed. I really like Yankee in which he played the lead. A different SW. I will probably slways remember him as Yanez in Sandokan though!

It always impresed me that he was a paratrooper, made me think he could really do some of the stuff the other actors were just pretending to do!

I saw about his passing on Facebook late last night, he made it to a ripe age of 93, and looked like he was still 70. His career was quite an interesting one as well. RIP Philippe Leory, you’ll missed, but never forgotten.

I literally just saw this on Facebook, just a month away from his 90th birthday. Some of my family thought he was creepy looking even when he was a young man, but boy what a fine actor. A shame he got stymied into playing weirdos and goofballs in the 1960’s, but he made up for it when he played Attilio in Bertolucci’s Novecento (1900), and quite a few other 1970’s films. Still surprises me to this day he was a born and bred Canadian as he always felt like a New York or California kind of guy. RIP Donald Sutherland, you’ll be missed, but never forgotten.

Donald Sutherland, aged 88…a true legend, and one of those names that always guarantees an excellent acting performance on screen.

There were so many outstanding performances from this exemplary gentleman, but the ones I will always love were in ‘The Dirty Dozen’ (1967); ‘‘Kelly’s Heroes’ (1970); ‘Mash’ (1970’; ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ (1976); ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’ (1978); ‘The First Great Train Robbery’ (1978); and ‘Don’t Look Now’ (1973)…

Adios to Donald Sutherland…who has left us all a monumental legacy to savour for many years to come.

Beautiful English actress Margaret Lee passed away 24 April 2024.

Seems she only did one SW, Djurado (1966). But she had a long career in the Italian film industry. She did a long line of Eurospy films, and was also in Peplum, Macaroni Combat, and other films.

She was also in several films by British film producer Harry Alan Towers.

I’m ashamed to say the only film I’ve seen Margaret Lee in was Double Face with Klaus Kinski, but I remember liking her very much in her role. There are a few films of hers I want to check out, so I’m slowly but surely gonna rectify that. She even made a film with Franco & Ciccio which is interesting. RIP to a classy lady.

Rest in peace Donald Sutherland. His “General” scene in The Dirty Dozen might be my favorite of the whole film.

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Shelley Duvall at 75.

One of my first ever celebrity crushes and an amazing women who should’ve been in far more films.

I’m truly devastated to hear this. He was such a nice bloke. Rest eternal grant unto him, o Lord, and light perpetual shine upon him.

Sorry to hear this … She was very funny in interview on her film career, especially about incidents during ‘The Legend of Frenchie King’ aka, ‘Les pétroleuses’ (1971) …

Viva Teresa Gimpera!

I found out via Terence Hill’s Instagram that Arnaldo Dell’Acqua has died. He was a stuntman in many Italian films, including SWs and was also one of Alberto Dell’Acqua’s brothers

Rest in peace, Arnaldo Dell’Acqua :dove:
