westerns are good, spaghetti westerns are the best. four shots and five corpses, plus riding away into the sunset, the hero cool and unshaved, the horse faithful and the whole scenario slightly anarchic: comedian Lars Johansen loves the spaghetti western. and he outed himself with that. true to the motto: the horses saddled, the gunbelt fastened and relive the movie heros of the 60s with a firm wide stand, “Mr Kugelblitz” accompanied a new film series at the Moritzhof. “Western von gestern” (westerns of the past) is thename of the new blue beans bonanza, and Lars Johansen explains to the audience, of course in a humorous way, what makes a Spaghetti Western. His partner in the saddle is Marc Biskup, online editor of the Spaghetti Western Database, and for a fistful of dollars they turned the MOritzhof into a western town. Loads of fun, says Johansen, and if people like Django and Co, there’ll be more “westerns of the past”.
