Navajo Joe (MGM Region 1) soon

;D That’s saved me a few bob then.

well the screenshot comparisons speak for themselves. a non-anamorphic, poorly compressed japanese disc from i dont know 2000 just doesn’t live up to a standard MGM job from 2008. and both video and audio leave no room for complaints… especially with the price of really just 5 - 8 euros if you consider the exchange rate

OK then - but it’ll have to be after Almeria.

oh for sure. I’m already having nightmares because I will have to live on a fistfull of corn down there

The Lord will provide.

but he also taketh away!

Have a great time in Almeria guys, i wanted to maybe go again this year but funds restrict.

Have fun spotting them locations.

Thanks Yodlaf. Shame you wont be there. Can not really afford it myself…thank the lord for credit cards (or maybe not). But what the hell…a once in a life time opportunity and I think that’s how me, the Rev and Phil see it.

Never mind, there’s always another time.

Funny thing is i started this thread ages ago

Cheers Yodlaf - I didn’t think you’d mind so I posted these beauts and the link on the Almeria thread a week or so ago. But you can’t get too much of 'em. Fantastic.

cheers mate

hey Yodlaf, thanks a bunch. i’m going to almeria despite the hole in more wallet, but, in the reverend’s wise words, the lord provides, and in this sense, I see this as really a once in a lifetime trip, so even no funding is enough funding, and thanketh the lord in prayer for credits cards indeed. amen
But I hope this widescreen print has the correct audio. What I mean by that is on the Fullscreen VHS copy, (In the opening scene) The Indian-howling heard at the beginning of Morricone’s title track is extended by about 5 seconds. Perfectly matching the opening guitar-lick to the main title of the movie.

But on the widescreen print that I saw on Turner Classic Movies, the music is not extended and it doesn’t synch up with the kick of the main title. I sure hope this error was corrected for this disc.
Someone complained about this on the other board too and Ulrich Bruckner from Koch Media came with this nice reply:

Koch Media release of NAVAJO JOE will correct all of this and will include German, ENGLISH and ITALIAN language tracks PLUS TONS OF BONUS MATERIALS.

So I guess the Koch Media-release, as expected, will be the release to get.
