I must say I don’t understand this region-fixation. Get a region-free player (no they aren’t that expensive even in the US) and you can remove a couple from your list.

Yes, this one in particular. Great movie, substandard releases on the market.

It’s a must-have for genre oriented movie fans wherever they happen to live.

YES! why doesnt tarintino release some spags under his rolling thunder collection ?
why doesnt tarintino release some spags under his rolling thunder collection ?
Do you mean the Grindhouse features? They got Kill them all and come back alone in their series so maybe there will be some more in the future.

Actually I do have a region free player. But I like the box cover art of my DVD"s to be in English as well. I also like to lend my friends my DVD’s and they don’t have region free. Maybe I should have said R0 instead of R1. But yeah, North Americans are currently ignorant of SW"s and need to be exposed! hahaha

What’s wrong with the UK release of Death Rides a Horse?

Nothing at all. Beautiful print. mrchallenge is kind enough to think of the Americans who don’t have a region-free player. A region-free dvd player owner’s list would be very different. I for one would pick movies not yet officially released at all in any region in any understandable version (English dub or Italian dub with understandable subtitles). Movies like California, Long Live Your Death, Black Jack (!) etc. Tons to pick from.

Every dvd player is region free. They’re merely programmed for a particular region. Therefore you can unprogram them. Just google for the codes.

To be honest NTSC, PAL, region or language on packaging doesn’t really effect my buying decision when it comes to SW DVDs. Having to put up with all that’s just par for the course. I’m just happy if I can get the film widescreen with English audio on a legitimate release.
Along with the Sartana, The Big Gundown, California and The Mercenary releases already mentioned here are a few others on my DVD wish list.
And God Said To Cain - Navajo Joe - The Specialist
I have cash waiting

Few form the top of my head:
-Cemetery without crosses extras filled edition that won’t cost 50$ or 40 euros.
-the mercenary
-navajo joe
-god forgives i don’t - totally uncut, english wiedescreen version
-god forgives i don’t - totally uncut, english wiedescreen version
Isn’t the dutch dvd uncut and widescreen?

I think it was cut by half a minute or so… But the Dutch version is nice!

I have a polish version which is identical to dutch dvd in terms of lenght and aspect ratio but has got terrbile polish lector on english audio:(

A Bronson western collection with -white buffalo(out of print) noon till three(out of print) breakheart pass, chato’s land and red sun…yes i left chino out on purpose.

I’d love to see official release of Tony Anthony’s Stranger trilogy.

I heard something about potential German releases of a whole string of Tony Anthony’s spaghetti westerns. Don’t know any definite titles or specs though. Will try and see if I can dig that info up again.

I know what you mean, but I would include Chino just for the sake of completeness. Hehe. I think all those movies werre distributed by different companies so I don’t think its possible. Just a dream…

Apparently a movie company called MIG! Is releasing three Anthony-westerns in 2008. No specs mentioned. Other titles are both Ringo-movies, Silver Saddle and a Franco & Ciccio Box (no titles)… Probably they are all going to carry the German dub only but until any info gets out one is allowed to hope.
