Music to Run By

I’m putting together some new playlists for my running. Anyone have any suggestions or lists they want to share?

Iron Maiden’s The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner

Anything AC/DC, Boston, Molly Hatchet, Doobie Bros., or, for a change of pace; the great George Strait. ;D

Run Man Run soundtrack perhaps  .

Run Lola Run soundtrack perhaps

Pipe down ya chowderheads, I’m looking for constructive answers!!!

Something by Dexy’s Midnight Runners?

Or Road Runner by the Modern Lovers?

Madness’ One Step Beyond - if you’re a sprinter

chariots of fire, speedy gonzales, the sabre dance

You could confidently start with Iron Maiden and Run To The Hills
… and as you tire out, move down to a bit of Aerosmith/Run DMC with Walk This Way
…and finally … Blackfoot Sue and I’m Standing In The Road.

Classic Rev post!

If you with friends try Bad Company’s Running With The Pack
If things are going bad at home try Del Shannon’s Runaway
If it’s on concrete try Modern Lover’s Road Runner
In the woods CCR’s Run through The Jungle
With headphones on Wing’s Band On The Run
Need to go to the store after? Try Steve Miller’s Take The Money & Run
With kids (if you have) with Curtis Mayfield’s Little Child Runnig Wild
If you hit a dead end road try Martha Reeve’s Nowhere To Run
If your really tired put on Jackson Browne’s Running On Empty
or if you’re reallyreally tired try The Door’s Running Blue
If you are a stutterer try Velvet Underground’s Run Run Run
with a pet Sweet’s Fox On The Run
if you’re not a church goer Van Halen’s Running With The Devil
And if you don’t want to run at all try the Venture’s Walk Don’t Run

Sorry Pacificador, we can’t resist. But on the serious side try some upbeat stuff like…

Rocky soundtrack (seriously)
Motorhead- (Ace Of Spades especially) gets the blood going
Black Sabbath’s- Paranoid
Allman Brother’s - One Way Out (for tempo alone)
Doors - LA Woman
ELO - Fire On High
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Saturday Night Special (well it worked for Burt Reynolds in the Longest Yard…kinda)
Steve Miller - Swingtown (again tempo)
Nillson - Jump Into The Fire
any Ramones, Misfits or early Clash

or try the great ride that is Dark Side Of The Moon (Dorothy?)

Fox on the Run and Take the Money and Run, for certain, go on mine.
Shit! If only I ran
Good call!

You & me both Rev. If I see the bus coming, I don’t run. I will it to stop or let fate decide if I go to work on time. Besides, it must be hard to run in that speedo of yours.

as Jules Winfield once said…

“You, Flock Of Seagulls”

Run (so far away) Rev.

I shared a flat once in the early 80s with a bloke that had that fos haircut. He ran out of hairspray once and snuck into my room and nicked my spraymount for my artwork. This stuff costs a fortune and never dries. it stays tacky until it’s stuck to summat - paper, dust … or in this case his pillow!
Anyway he washed it and washed it, but ended up having to shave his head. That’ll teach him. Twat!
He tried to look like this fellah …

Did he do the ‘Wolverine’ wings thingy?

Oh yes! He was a carbon copy 8) - pre-spraymount :stuck_out_tongue:

Thieving bald bastard!

If my roommate stole from me, I’d get him drunk until he passes out & then I’d super glue his ass cheeks shut.

Harsh, but fair.

I don’t listen to music while running. I once heard that if you run by music, you unwillingly adapt to the speed of the song and not to your own speed. Therefore running by music is not healthy.
