Misterio estacion esperanza

Hola Pedro. Espero que algiuen te puedo ayudar. Por eso, voy a traducir tu texto en ingles…

Can anyone help me solve the mystery of the train station of “La Esperanza” that appears in the movie “Joe the Relentless” (1966) with Burt Reynolds? (In English, it is titled “Navajo Joe”).

For 5 years, I was searching for it in the Guadix area, where many scenes of the film were shot. There is information on the internet about the location of the station, but some things can not be correct. The reason I think it wasn’t filmed in the Guadix station is that the station is in a valley and you can see in the movie that “La Esperanza” is sitting at the highest place (it can be a plateau). It also seems that “La Esperanza” has two train tracks and may be a main road, while at the Guadix station there is only one route on each side of the station, one towards Almería and another towards Granada.

Maybe “La Esperanza” was a station built just to film the movie, but I personally think not since the movie was a very low budget production.

Another part of the mystery lies in the fact that some scenes of the film were filmed in Colmenar (near Madrid), a village in the West that no longer exists. Maybe “La Esperanza” was on the main road near Colmenar.

We know that there is no real station in the Serón-Guadix, Guadix-Iznaloz, or Guadix-Nacimiento
Is there anyone who knows where the station is?

Edit I see there is a discussion in English already at Mystery of railway station Esperanza/Navajo Joe SOLVED!
