Oooooh! Is the horse shit still in tho’ Ennioo?
Thanks.
Shoot I missed the shit scene
. Think I was to busy concentrating drinking my beer, but I am sure you will let me know if it is the uncut ‘shit’ version so to speak
.
Well - just goes to show that I definately do need to see this again - it ain’t no horse … it’s a cow! I’m losing it…
I am very pleased to confirm Reverend the cow shitting scene is in my version. Just think you will soon see a cow shitting in all its 2.35 glory ;D .
This one is better than I would expect. Sometimes it’s silly but never boring.
There is an Italian DVD of Hobby & Work, but the quality must be very bad. And the DVD probably very rare.
The movie should be a part of the Koch rainbow collection. But it is not a good film master has found. The title is uncanceled. Perhaps there is still a single release.
Adequate sequel to Cjamango, with at least three good sequences: the killing of the Mexican bandit (Gaetano Cimarosa), unfortunately slightly cut - just like the pre-credits scene and the epilogue - in the just released Italian dvd, the eventful part concerning Peter Martell and the final massacre.
Thumbs up
Peter Martell (overexcited as usual but noteworthy), the almost unrecognizable Ghidra, Pedro Sanchez and - for other reasons
- Lilli Lembo and Esmeralda Barros.
Thumbs down
As Cjamango this fair-haired Ardisson is inferior to Ivan Rassimov.

A pity that the pre-credit sequence is cut. It gives meaning to the movie; actually, without it, the film doesn’t make much sense.
I thought Ardisson did quite well, although I agree that Rassimov is better.
Not a great film, but it’s watchable

Koch asked on a german board if they should release this one- Unfortunately they seem to use the same source as on the Italian DVD. Nevertheless they are considering an uncut release…
Same source as on the Italian dvd? I hope not!
In addition to the vanished pre-credits sequence, in the mouth shooting scene the last shot of the victim (corresponding to the poster image) between the words “Chiedi perdono a Dio, non a me” and the two shots is obviously missing and should be restored.
If Koch releases it they will use the same faulty master (and the faultiness is the reason that Koch hadn’t released the already announced DVD yet), and this master is uncut. and the will release it uncut.
For unknown reasons the Italians released the film in a cut version, which means they cut the uncut master. The missing parts are as far as i know as bonus on the DVD.
Maybe the missing parts are not an official part of the film. I don’t know…
I picked up the pre-credit sequence on You Tube and added a link to my review, but the clip is no longer available:

Why faulty if the master is uncut? The picture quality is fairly good…
:o ??? …
In any case, no extras on the Sony pictures Italian DVD running time 85m 19s (about 89m theatrical)
According to a Koch member it was badly mastered, so that it would have not the usual Koch standard. This led to a postponing of the disc, but it seems they didn’t get a better master until now.
This Koch member also said the Italian disc used the same master, and that he was surprised that they only released the “export version” , also called “new version”.
It doesn’t look bad for me, but apparently the real problems you don’t see on the screenshots:
These screens look good on first sight, but they’re heavily filtered, resulting in a ‘plastic’ look (just have a look at the pic with Ardisson’s face).
I think they said on the forum that there were also problems with pixilisation. On the third screen (the rider) there’s a lot of macro-blocking.
Ok, the master is the same and in the Italian DVD the pre-credits sequence and the epilogue have been merely removed, but
the evident censorial cut in Tano Cimarosa’s scene?
Yes see what you mean re the filtered look.

That’s what Michael (the Koch man) has also said.
Watch this one in two takes, entering spaghetti hell again after a few weeks out of it
Not a bad effort I might say, I even end up enjoying it. I’ts a pretty full of clichés revenge Spaghetti, with the usual you never kill anyone when you should, your family gets slaughtered when you are not around, and there’s always someone with a machine gun around also you never get flanked by the bad guys when you’re shooting it, it’s always the totally insane Banzai attacks (also killing the horses is pretty expensive in production terms, not easy to put them down), but like I said before this is spaghetti world and I liked.
There are some fine stuff going around, Gidra (Dick Smart??
WTF) and Ardisson pretty nice SW actors if you ask me with grunty looks, soap opera style actor Peter Martell gets killed very fast in the film good, liked how the henchman overcame it’s boss in a Once upon a time… style or something like that, also the painfull Ardisson escape from the barn I would use the spurs, but that’s me always the smartass. But the main thing was Ignazio Spalla character Barrica very good, more than just a bad Fernando Sancho rip off. The US English dub I have not a bad one, by the contrary, now I can watch the Italian one
Also on the good side the very much the orchestral classical score it didn’t always fit but as a stand alone score sounded good (the chasing scene for instance),
So trivial implausivel at times but a solid spag that does not ddishonor the genre
And this time we even have a happy ending, how good can that be.
3 solid stars, so
ADIOS CJAMANGO
And thank’s to my mate Pereira for this one
No problem. I found this one very enjoyable too, undoubtedly better than the first Cjamango.
