NEW STUFF IN AND AROUND THE SWDB IN
MAY 2025:
Emerging, ongoing and future improvement projects
Keeping this really short this time. A few interesting projects (aside from the usual adding of information, pictures and so forth), are location guides we are working on for several locations (work in progress).
Arizona/Utah guide: Utah and Arizona locations - The Spaghetti Western Database
Sardinia guide: Sardinia - The Spaghetti Western Database
The Sardinia guide is only a few hours young and we are still working heavily on it. If you know anything about the Sardinia locations, the movies filmed there, etc, please get in touch. I am on a plane there as you’re reading this and I will try take pictures of the locations in the northern part of the island.
More generally…
… as always: join the SWDb, help out, it will make it better
You don’t have to become a full time editor or official staff to contribute. Anything from being active in the forum to correcting mistakes to joining entire improvement projects is more than welcome. From all over the world, in all languages, we welcome help!
Those of you who feel inclined to donate a dollar or euro or yen or real or whatever, head here. PayPal has improved the donation experience, check it out - and you don’t even need a PayPal account to donate. Also, whenever you shop at Amazon, click on one of the SWDb’s Amazon links first, it doesn’t matter which one and what you buy. We can really use the cash to beef up the server infrastructure, and if we can get enough donations we should finally hire someone to fix some major issues with the underlying tech to make the SWDb better and safer again. Home video news:
In May Arrow delivered the goods, and the reviews are very positive. This is the best these movies have looked and sounded on home video, and for many markets this is the first time these arrive fully uncut. Last month also saw two new book releases, a soundtrack release, a Charley-One-Eye release that blows the UK release from a few weeks back out of the water, and a new release of Silver Saddle in Germany for which some of us provided an audio commentary.
June will bring the third of Arrow’s Dollars movies with a 4 disc edition that is gooder than good, badder than bad and uglier than ugly! Also out this month is a new release of a Tom Berenger adventure, and some long delayed German releases of the two Trinity films. Also several times delayed and possibly this time for sure, is the Italian release of 5 Man Army.
A Fistful of Dollars was be released in May because it had to be slightly postponed, (learn more and buy), For a Few Dollars More also in May (learn more and buy) and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (including the documentary Sad Hill Unearthed) in June (learn more and order)
Plase do egularly check the calendar, we often update it several times a day!

Obituaries
Our head of obits, the spaghettiologist @Tom_B had to update the boot hill cemetery with an unfortunate 9 new obituaries over the course of the last four weeks.
