Yeah i would prefer that too but for example we already have ‘cane arribbiato’ in database which is a modern spaghetti and that’s where i got the idae of that category

But there hasn’t been many european westerns from the 80s and onwards, has there?

I’m not sure, but they’re very few and far between, aren’t they?

i mean westerns set in the modern times, not the ones from 80s and onwards
i mean westerns set in the modern times, not the ones from 80s and onwards
We already have 800 bullets on database but is there any others? Personally I don’t see a reason to have these since technically they aren’t westerns. 800 bullets is ok to have I guess though since it’s a kind of tribute to sw’s and many sw fans might be interested about it.

what about cane arribbato then?

This movie shouldn’t be in the database , it’s neither spaghetti western nor eurowestern, it was made in US:

I’ve noticed that someone puts new pictures on our database movie pages (mostly Spanish posters). This is very nice but please put the pictures which were there before into the picture section (if there’s one, if not create one), otherwise these pictures get lost !!! Not only that is lost, also the work someone else has put in it !!! Thanx !!!

true. also, in “special pages” you find tools like “uncategorized pages” or “unused images” etc, if someone wants to go through those

I had a look on the imdb and it has a few Italian names in the credits, does anybody know if it was shot in Spain?

According to Weisser (The Good, the Bad and the Violent) The Last Rebel was a USA / Italy / Spain co production shot in europe.

I updated all the Leone DVD subsections with the upcoming Region 1 releases.

at this point i want to reemphasize that one of the core things this database is missing, is listings of general runtimes on movies main pages, and most of all, short, one paragraph plot descriptions of the movie in question.

also, i want to reemphasize that there is a “special pages” link in the toolbox that among other nice tools, lists “uncategorized pages”, dead links, broken redirects, unused images and other nifty little things.

thanks to everyone contributing. keep up the great work… (yawn it’s late… ) lol

Regarding synopsis I am of the opinion that the ending of a movie should not be revealed to the reader. After all someone who has seen the film will know how it ends while someone who has yet to see it surely wouldn’t want the end spoiling for them. Of course this is only my opinion, I would like to hear other peoples views on the subject. Also where would be a reliable place to obtain original film runtimes.

i would do it like here Buono, il brutto, il cattivo, Il - The Spaghetti Western Database

anica is pretty reliable, you could also do

runtime: xxx min (restored dvd)
xxx min (original release)

etc

How can I delete a page? or is it only possible for certain users?

I’ve noticed someone added this polish movie to the database:
https://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/Wilcze_echa
it’s not a western really, it’s set in polish mountains durning II world war, a modern western - yes, but not a typical wild west one, so i don’t know if it’s a good idea to add such movies to the database

well if that’s the case, it will have to go. if it takes place in the polish mountains during ww2 it is definitely not a western
