I like the Bond films generally, even if most of them are directed rather conventional but You Only live Twice (3/10) belongs to the few boring ones. And ha ha, yes, that it was supposedly written by Roald Dahl is hard to believe, but maybe the credits do not tell us the whole truth. Actually it all feels as it was written and directed by guys who were mostly half asleep.
Funnily director Gilbert made in the late 70s 2 more Bonds, which are both often pretty similar to this one, but while The Spy Who Loved Me (8/10) is surprisingly stylish, and one of the best of the series, his next one Moonraker (2/10) is the worst of them all.
