i have the old lucertola version, is it worth me upgrading because i heard this version was slightly different with a different Stelvio Cipriani score.

sounds great, I will order it when I make my next purchase

RABID DOGS sounds an interesting film!

it’s great, a Mario Bava crime film that wasn’t released back in the day and has now been restored and edited, the lucertola version i have already has a great soundtrack but as i mentioned above i believe the anchor bay one has a different score.

I think I will be making a purchase!

I received “Almost Human”, “Milano Rovente”, “Gambling City” and “Emergency Squad”

Almost Human is great Milian has never been better he was meant for this role.

Milano Rovente surprised me this film has more depth than most films in this genre and it does not get the credit it should.

I don’t think that Milian is particularly good in Emergency Squad though, that role seems like it would have suited Maurizio Merli better.

Gambling city is more average but still enjoyable.

Recently watched THE BIG RACKET for the first time.

Very impressed with the film, actors, action, music, style and cannot fault really, my kind of film I suppose.

One of the director’s best films I have seen so far.

I love The Big Racket, Castellari sure knows how to shoot action, the bit where he is rolling down the hill in the car is awesome!

This is an impressive scene.

I enjoyed watching Vincent Gardenia in the film.

I wonder whether he got this role because of his role in DEATHWISH perhaps?

I finally received the BU version of “Street Law” I ordered one month ago, thankfully it was worth waiting for. It’s “Death Wish” with Charles Bronson italian style.
Now I’m finding it very hard to choose wether "High Crime or “Street Law” is Castellari’s best Crime film.

I have ‘Danger Diabolik’ and ‘Almost Human’ on DVD but haven’t had the chance to watch em.

:-/

Depending on how much I enjoy these two films, I will likely look into picking up a few other films

I just received Mario Bava’s Kidnapped/Rabid Dogs from Anchor Bay. What a great film its extremly intens all the way even though most of the film takes place inside a car, has great acting and a surprising conclusion.
A must have if you like Italian crime films.

There is two versions on the disc, Bava’s original version known as Rabid Dogs, and Alfredo Leone and Lamberto Bava’s version known as Kidnapped.
Even though the running time only differs with one minute, there are several scenes that differs from film too film, the score also differs as you points out.
Mario Bava’s version moves slower, uses darker colours, uses more close-up filming and other camera angles in some scenes.
Alfredo Leone and Lamberto Bava’s version on the other hand moves at a faster pace which makes the film more action packed.
Which one is the better is a matter of personal taste.

You’ve got me sold, i will get one when i get the chance. Thanks!

You are welcome
