I Just Bought … (the SW Shopping Diary)

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is sold out at Arrow site. I thought I was too late, but I had the item in my basket and I was able to order the trilogy. Hopefully it comes without problems.

Will probably come back in stock again. So not necessarily completely sold out probably.

It’s in fact already back in stock now  It’s specified as being a ‘limited edition’ but I don’t think it’s very limited and certainly won’t be sold out before release.

And it is a pre-order phase anyway.

Looking at the discs they have put up for TGTBTU there appear to be only 2 cuts, the international cut and the extended version. Unless that is a library photo, Concerned that this is simply a port of the Kino release but will wait for full specs.

Some of the early info hinted at a bit more than that (xtd cuts plural). Maybe they spill details tomorrow

I just bought…the theme of the topic!
I like PLL and therefore I bought this:

But I wasn’t in France… :cowboy_hat_face:

One of my buddies on YouTube from The Netherlands surprised me with this ultimate release in a recent trade

I’m still beaming that he picked up a copy for me as well as himself, words can’t express it. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve gotten to know on YouTube and a good friend.

hope he went thru the disc exchange program first!

He did tell me he sent out the package early before the replacement discs got sent to him, but he’s gonna keep me updated when the disc arrives.

Buy them and they will come. Doing my part the following bunch of spaghetti westerns arrived from Germany today:

The Great Silence with HDR tempts me a lot.

I don’t think I have ever owned a copy of the movie (have seen it though) so had to have it. And “Leichen pflastern seinen Weg” is pure German poetry. I love that title and prefer it to the English “The Great Silence” which sounds like a magician being presented and to the Danish “Den stummer hævner” aka The Mute Avenger which is just silly

That’s true, the German title sparks the imagination. I have the Film Movement edition, but I’m hoping for better colors in this new release.

It is easy to accidentally double dip with the German releases though with their billion different covers and sometimes different titles for the exact same release of a movie.

yes I remember those pre-SWDb times when nobody knew  now we just know too much and they can’t peddle that stuff to ignorants anymore, now we know better
