Yeah, I thought so too.
I received my copy of ‘Blood Money’ yesterday.
Another beautiful Bluray box-set from ‘Arrow’. Was the wait worth it? Definitely!
Beautiful picture quality on all four films; tons of exciting extras; beautiful art-work on the covers and poster; and informative commentaries.
My only slight niggle: I watched ‘Matalo’ for the very first time last night, and have to admit not being blown away by it…weird with a capital ‘W’.
I can’t help but feel that there so many other ‘better’ SW’s out there, and that an opportunity was missed here. Just my opinion, of course.
All in all, though, a very worthwhile purchase for any SW collector.
Note: I hope the amigos who have not yet received their own copy, don’t have to wait too much longer to savour the delights that this little gem offers…
Just got a note from Amazon that mine is coming today. Hope it fits the Letterbox, because I’m out.

Yeah, I got the note from Amazon saying mine is due to arrive today.
A bit late but not as bad as the Radiance Cosa Nostra box which finally arrived yesterday and was pre-ordered last year!
Never mind, I’m sure both will be well worth the wait. Now I just need to find time to watch them
You may be absolutely right, though I “felt” I saw at least one extended scene yesterday, but that was probably just my expectations wanting to be fulfilled
I timed the first scene nearly exactly with both my watch and the TV timer (which were in line with each other) with its around 7 minutes, and it was about 4.1 % longer in time on the Bluray, even if I didn’t bother to check for any other differences.
And one assumed extended scene on my Bluray, was in fact also present on the DVD-R, so it strengthens your conclusion…
Though there might be a slight real difference since the total running time of the Bluray is around 4.7 % longer, so maybe around 0.6 % (netto) added footage (less than 1 minute) could be found on the Bluray (In the absolute beginning and ending there are no differences) ?
Yeah I’m only guessing only having the dvd @Grinder above might probably know as he called the Koch dvd cut which I didn’t think it was but there might be some missing seconds perhaps.
Too bad the blu-ray doesn’t contain the Italian dub like the dvd.
those who have the blood money box from the UK should report back if there are any censorship issues on any of the discs
What sort of censorship issues?
I watched that really bad FIND A PLACE TO DIE last night. The only reason to see the film is to see Pascale Petit perform her nude swim. It’s all downhill before and after that. Dull, boring, listless, soporific. Then she takes her clothes off. Then back to dull, boring, listless, soporific.
Has she ever been in a film where she keeps her clothes on?
I don’t think anything was censored there.
The Koch DVD is missing part of the scene where they shoot at the empty bootles.
Scene is starting on Koch DVD in Minute 29:13 and misses the first 35 seconds.
On Blu Ray it starts in Minute 30:22 and the German dub there is in Italian with German subs.
Anyway this wouldn`t have been necessary because German Dub for that scene is existing on VHS or on 35mm copies… label better should have asked me
Nice. Thanks for the elaborate answer.
mostly thinking of the usual BBFC animal cruelty black-outs, like the at least one occasion on the vengeance trails box (I think with Bandidos)
Enjoying my Blood Money set…
Remember back in the good old days, when it was nothing but a rumour, and we had to get @Phil_H drunk at the saloon to give clues on the films included? Good times…
I’m not enjoying it at all. I think they’re a bad collection of films.
I mentioned before the soporific FIND A PLACE TO DIE with Pascal Petite’s nude bathing being the only highlight.
10,000 DOLLARS BLOOD MONEY had two good things: The cool way Claudio Camaso had his gun in a holster on his shoulder, and Garko’s cross-draw guns high on his waist. The story was ridiculous, Garko getting caught and risking a bullet in his back most of the time. I never got the impression he was in control. Very long and drawn out.
VENGEANCE IS MINE was even worse, without the cool holsters. Slow-motion love affairs on the beach, and two brothers spending the whole movie getting round to killing each other when they had already had hundreds of opportunities. I like the model Southern Mansion which almost works, and the fact that if you put a picket fence in a grassy field, it must be the front of the garden. Even more long and drawn out.
Now MATALO nearly worked for me. Interesting camera angles and blurred images. Off-the wall script. It just lost steam half-way through by becoming repetitive and failing to advance the story. And those boomerangs!!! They didn’t come back. What a daft idea.
Best bit of the box set was Nora Orlandi talking about her musical career. What an amazing woman. Bet she was hot at 19 when she started.
I once saw a photo of her in her younger days. I’ve never forgotten it so, yes, she was quite fetching.
Interesting to hear some different pionts of view.
Not to interrupt the Blood Money set discussion, which according to Amazon I will be able to join tomorrow , but I had the strangest find yesterday.
The wife and I packed up a suitcase and Elsie the dog yesterday, leaving my wife’s lovely younger sister in charge of the horses and house, to return to Kentucky for a week to conclude more business. As usual, we bedded down for the night at our favorite hotel in Champagne, Illinois (dinner, three cocktails each for dinner, and breakfast included in the price).
We arrived an hour before dinner so, while the wife did some laps in their pool, I crossed the street to the big Goodwill store. Since the last time I was there, they added a HUGE bin of what they, I guess, consider to be crap movies and videos that no one would want…and for the most part, they are right. As I sorted through their vast assortment of “bow hunting for deer”, “fly-fishing for beginners”, and “My Little Pony” videos, I came across this:
While completely surprised, I also cursed bitterly as this forced me to continue searching the bin where I eventually found this Japanese release:
How they ended up there, I have no idea but I willingly shelled out the $2.00 as they deserve a far better fate than to be housed in the same bin with Barbie in the Nutcracker for what could be all of eternity.
Impressive find there mi amico, very cool. Sometimes you never know what you’re gonna find out in the wild.
I totally get your feelings on Per 100,000 Dollari ti Ammazzo, though for me it was that it dragged through the middle to end of the 2nd act but did pick up again in the third.
Find a Place to Die and MataloI I haven’t watched yet, so I can’t give my thoughts right now.
Gotta admit to being baffled about you not liking10,000 Dollari per un Massacro though, the atmospheric final gun battle for me was amazingly staged and thrilling. And the film itself was well paced I thought.
Were you watching the English dub or the original Italian language track? If it was the English dub I could see why you didn’t enjoy it as I caught a little of it somewhere once and and had to turn off the channel as I thought the dubbing was atrocious. The Italian audio is what gives the film its depth and interest. I do hope you give it another chance in the future with the Italian audio if you haven’t yet.
Excellent finds mate
