Good for you, DutchCowboy101! Speaking of definitive Arrow editions, does anyone know where I can find a copy of Arrow’s special edition of “Horror Express” (1972), containing the first-pressing collector’s-item booklet written by Adam Scovell? I’ve solicited Arrow itself, and have also scoured Amazon and E-Bay, but to no avail. Any ideas?
Two Pre-Orders
The Marchant family tends to be a mixed bag for me when it comes to SWs, sometimes their interest in Melodrama worked in the film’s favor, sometimes it didn’t.
I’m very happy to add more Richard Harrison to the collection, such a fine presence and charisma in the genre. I know he felt disappointed he got a little stuck in those films, but boy did he do some damn fine ones.
I missed out on the Colosseo DVD release of Dead Men Don’t Count (debated too long whether to get it
) but now that Mr. Bruckner’s company is putting it out on Blu, I’m kinda glad I missed out, means not having to double dip

Just won on eBay for only 3 quid. Been wanting to see this one for a while, especially recently due to watching a lot of Merli’s euro crime films
Spoiler alert: The theme song will be in your head for days.
Yes that is true. It’s very much in the KEOMA mould. As is the film itself.
Finally decided to pull the trigger on this one, super excited to have it in the collection
I had to pay a little more than I wanted to on the OFDb site, only cause the COVID situation has made it impossible for the time being for other online shops to ship 18 rating logo items from Germany to other countries. I could’ve paid a dollar less on Amazon DE, but I didn’t think of it until I started writing this
I got mine from Amazon Germany to UK, no problem. I can’t understand why Covid would prevent shipping from Germany to other online shops. That’s really strange.
I got mine from rarewaves-outlet on ebay, discs rated 18 don’t ship outside Germany on some sites like jpc.de for some reason, it’s always been like that
Gosh! I guess we’re so lucky here in UK that we can buy from Germany, Italy, France and Spain without a hitch.
Given that this is an Arrow Video edition–Arrow being a company with which you fellows seem most familiar, given the numerous special editions of classic spaghetti westerns it has released, perhaps you boys can tell me where I may acquire an American-made first-binding, new-and-unused edition of Arrow’s “Horror Express” (1972) and “Ludwig” (1973), each containing their Special-Edition Collector’s Booklet. I would indeed be most grateful.

I think the only place you might find those is on eBay. There’s a sealed Horror Express on UK eBay atm for £60 so it’s up to you whether you think a booklet is worth an extra £50. It will also be region B so you might want to wait until a US listing comes up.
Thank you very much, supertwix_64! However, I have already checked most assiduously with Amazon, eBay, and Arrow Video itself with no luck whatsoever. However, I do most greatly–and gratefully–appreciate your kindness, and if you–and any other site members–have any other advice for me, I will be anxious to receive it!
So when you pre-order from JPC.DE along with a title that is in stock do they hold the in stock item or do they ship it right out? Thanks in advance!
Yeah they usually would, I bought an in stock item and a pre order 2 months away and they held the in stock item for 2 months… but recently for the first time they sent an order separately for some reason
Yeah I just ordered the in stock item to be sure and will order again! Thanks for the reply!!!
These arrived today:

Yeah my Minnesota Clay arrived last week but haven’t gotten a chance to watch it yet. Excuse the ignorance but what is the English translation of the Hilton film below Minnesota?
The Moment to Kill (1968)
Does this Minnesota Clay have the two different endings?
SPOILER
One version finishes early and is downbeat.
The other version extends and is upbeat.
The dialogue in what becomes the final scene in the short version is very different to what is spoken in the upbeat version.
“All glory is fleeting”
As I noted in my review (German), the extended upbeat ending feels really tacked on and might’ve just as well have been left on the editing table… so once u see him laying in the dust, just hit stop button
