I Just Bought … (Non-SW Shopping Diary)

Holy Moly, that is one heck of set there amigo, that must’ve been an interesting negotiation process. Werner Herzog is a very fascinating filmmaker

Treated myself to two boxsets over the weekend

The price was finally right on this set, and I used my 2nd big gift card to get it, and still have some leftover for something else

Bought this directly from the Radiance Films website as they had it for under 60 USD, fingers crossed Royal Mail solved the issues with that hacker when the item is ready to ship

DC adaptions…I was very pleased to pick these up at bargain prices.

I went on a bit of a buying and trading binge. :grimacing:

A classic giallo that I’ve never seen.

Some Italian horror.

An Italian thriller.

A Spanish crime thriller from Paul Naschy.

A couple of new Christopher Lee releases, both Italian co-productions.

Some modern horror that I’ve heard is pretty good.

And one for the wife as she loves Michelle Yeoh. Plus, if I remember correctly, @Max said it is pretty dang good.

It’s brilliant. Can highly recommend it

Wow, cracking memory amigo. I saw this last May so I have no clue how you remember :joy:. But yes it’s a great film and is deserving of it’s praise. X is also pretty fun. Sadly I made the mistake of suggesting it to watch for a family move night while I was back home over X-mas. You’ll understand why I regret that after you watch it

If someone recommends a movie and then the opportunity does come to see that movie, I typically remember who recommended it no matter how long it has been since they first recommended it. Call it my lone Rain Man ability. The fact that both you and @Phil_H think so highly of the film has me extremely anxious to see it.

Nice haul there Amigo, I have those Mondo Macabro Blu Rays myself, albeit in the limited red case editions. Still need to pick-up the Shameless Edition of House of Laughing Windows too - so much stuff I wanna see, but I gotta spend wisely too.

I have The Laughing Woman in a red case too. Gonna find the right time to enjoy this one in high definition. :+1:

After having watched it last night, all I can say is… :astonished: and

The price was right on this French Thriller with the ultra lovely Brigtte Lahaie as she transitioned from Adult films to more mainstream films. In a strong case of irony, her character is a vice cop cracking down on porno pushers (a not so subtle inside joke on her retirement from the scene)

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies is so quirky with its subject matter that I thought it was a blast. :slightly_smiling_face:

Quirky, indeed, Brian. I think it will make a great double bill alongside ‘Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter’.

Found the Band of Brothers series in a thrift shop so I scooped that up. Fantastic show.
