A splurge every now and again isn’t a bad thing. I plan on having one soon myself, we’ve had a lot of stuff going on at the house and we haven’t had time to go to the bank so I can put half my B Day money in the bank and half on my card. .
Very true, sir. However, I walked into HMV with £40, expecting to spend maybe £20. £30 at a push. I came out of there having spent £94 and with a couple of urgent reminders on my calendar to replace bill money this coming Tuesday
.
A nice sized order arrived today, including a couple more Umberto Lenzi…
some Enzo G. Castellari, including the Rogue Cops and Racketeers set I pre-ordered but wasn’t expecting this soon as the release date here is today…
and even Spider-Man!
Sadly, these are the last of the movies I have ordered right now except for a pre-order that is still over a month away. Unless the upcoming yard sales prove fruitful, there are desolate days ahead.
I just watched my Rogue Cops and Racketeers set recently. Another awesome poliziotteschi release from Arrow. A double dose of Fabio Testi followed by a double dose of Tomas Milian sounds like a fantastic week!
You’re right, this is definitely a very nice release! Now, Arrow just needs to announce a Vengeance Trails II set.
New blu-ray:

Also got these recently:
I was pretty made up with these announcements. Am I wrong in hoping we get High Crime and Violent Naples next?

I seriously don’t think Looper gets the respect it deserves. A nice piece of sci fi.
Can’t believe I only found out about this last night, but when I did I ordered it within two minutes of course.
Now we just need good quality releases of Violent Naples and Go Gorilla, Go and we’ll be laughing
Or even better - the full Commissioner Betti trilogy:

Imagine an Arrow triple feature with all new scans and a bonus soundtrack CD ![]()
If it comes immediately following the Vengeance Trails II release consisting of El Puro, Death Knows No Time, Dead Men Ride, and Hate is My God, then I am all for it.
New blu-rays:

£80 of blu-rays for £35 in the sale bins in HMV. Not too shabby, don’t often find BFI titles in the sale bins.
That’d be sick.
That’d be sick too, even though I haven’t seen Hate is… and Death knows… yet.
Death Knows No Time is available on YouTube through both Grjingo and Film&Clips Western Movies if you want to check it out. Hate is My God is another story, unfortunately.
’Imperium’ (2016)
I bought this BD for £1. Although I’ve not seen it yet, it sounds particularly interesting.
‘Idealistic FBI agent Nate Foster goes undercover to take down a radical white supremacy terrorist group. The up-and-coming analyst must confront the challenge of sticking to a new identity while maintaining his real principles as he navigates the dangerous underworld of white supremacy.’ (IMDB).

’I Am Legend’ (2007)…an upgrade to BD, from DVD.
Based on the superb Richard Matheson novel, this is an okay adaption - but, truth be told, I still prefer Charlton Heston in ‘The Omega Man’ (1971).

Guessing you are picking these up at your local charity shop @Toscano ?
I’m noticing a lot more Blus turning up at mine at ridiculously cheap prices.
Bought all these recently at 3 for a pound. Some are upgrades, others I’m not sure I’ll even like but at 33p each I figured were worth a punt. ![]()

Hi, Phil.
Yup…Picked up ‘Imperium’ from the local Weston S Mare ‘CEX’ shop for £1. I also regularly go to a shop called ‘MT Games’, plus the local charity shops. I’ve built up a good reputation, so the staff are only too willing to look out for any titles I require.
With blurays going as cheaply as they do now in these places, it’s the best way to build up a film collection.
Some excellent choices you have there, Phil
; and, for pennies you really can’t go wrong.
Happy viewing…
That would be super cool to see. I’ve written to Arrow Video, 88 Films, and Fractured Visions about releasing the Betti Trilogy on Blu Ray, and both Arrow and 88 thought they were good recommendations to consider. Fractured Visions I haven’t heard from yet, but because they run a Blu Ray company and Film Festivals, I know they’re busy.
