I can’t wait to view ‘Sad Hill Unearthed’, and to truly appreciate the time, effort, and dedication, that has gone into ‘resurrecting’ this most iconic of SW ‘holy sites’.
Hoping that, someday, I will be able to pay a pilgrimage to the actual location…
With ‘Rogue One’, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Grand Moff Tarkin, all make an appearance; So, logically, ‘Rogue One’ slips in very neatly between ‘Revenge of the Sith’, and ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’.
It depends on what you want from a film. If you like ‘Creature Features’, then I would recommend ‘Slugs’; ‘Grizzly’; ‘Cujo’; ‘Anaconda’; ‘Squirm’; ‘Tarantula’; or ‘Piranha’…to name but a select few. The list is endless…
‘Frogs’ holds its own, but don’t expect the heights of ‘Jaws’, 1975.
It is, however, worth watching, if only for the welcome participation of Sam Elliot (‘Ghost Rider’); and Ray Milland, (‘Man With X-Ray Eyes’, ‘The Premature Burial’).
The Godfather 1&2 are certificate 15 now? I mean, I may have only been nine years old when I watched them (shame on my grandfather!) but I really think they should be 18. As a kid, I didn’t think it mattered but as you get older and more mature, you realise films have certificates for a reason.

We all watched things, that we shouldn’t, when we were kids.
I remember watching ‘The Godfather’ with mum, and ‘High Plains Drifter’ with Dad…
It’s difficult to remember their reactions, because I can’t remember how much may have been censored, at the time.
My memory is usually pretty good, but I cant - for the life of me - remember what was said/not said, on screen when I watched these films in the past.
Personally, every time that I was permitted, as a kid, to ‘stay up’, and watch an ‘adult’ film, it was like winning the lottery.
It was a chance to skip the paperback film-tie in’s, and see the real thing.
They were good days. No film was at hand, and you simply had to bide your time and pray that the latest block-buster would soon appear on a square space, in your living room.
Same here … I think we must be around the same vintage.
As kids, we weren’t allowed to watch ‘The Sweeney’, but occasionally we could sit up for the Monday night movie on BBC 1 at 9.30 … this was actually half an hour after our “official bedtime!”‘Fistful of Dollars’ was one of those rare treats … and at the end, when my young mind was well and truly blown, the station announcer told us that ‘For a Few Dollars More’ was showing the following week … so we kids were on our very best behaviour in order to get to see that one. Haven’t looked back since
Big fan of the Sweeney - Still have a box set. I watched a programme some time ago when actors said that this was the series that other actors wanted to get on - good for profile!
Watched all of these recently and they are still great. At least series 1-3 are. They seriously lost their way in series 4 and that is not nearly as good. The others are fab though.
I have just finished watching the Disney Zorro show with Guy Williams. Even after 60 years it is still great, easy to enjoy viewing, especially on fathers day!
HAPPY B DAY AMIGO!!! The BFI Blu Ray of Napoleon is spectacular, it was one of the first UK Blu Rays I bought when I got a region free player. The only Herzog film I’ve seen is Aguirre: The Wrath of God, and that one I had trouble comprehending, but he is talented. The third film I’ve never heard of, but it looks like a B Movie blast. Enjoy.
Thank you, sir! Yes, I’m keen on getting stuck into Napoleon but the wife is considerably less keen, so I suspect I’ll be watching it in several segments in the middle of the night.
