El Condor (John Guillermin, 1970)

And speaking of Take a Hard Ride, I think that film was filmed in the Canary Islands instead of Almeria?

Yes TAKE A HARD RIDE 1975 , an Italy/USA/Spain co production was filmed in the Canary
Islands and directed by prolific Italian Director ANTHONY DAWSON aka Antonio Margheriti.
Among the all star cast was Barry Sullivan , Robert Donner and Jim Kelly.
Speaking Of Jim Kelly thanks for the pic from Enter The Dragon 1973.

Take A Hard Ride has one of my fav western scores by Jerry Goldsmith, and his Breakheart Pass score comes a close second ;D.

I am in full agreement about these super Film Soundtracks Ennio.
TAKE A HARD RIDE 1975 I thought the music was beautifully blending in with the film to
excellent effect. Breakheart Pass also a quality score from the talented Jerry Goldsmith.

EL CONDOR 1970 Brazilian DVD has both English and Portuguese Audio

Leading ladies in EL CONDOR are MARIANNA HILL IMOGEN HASSALL Both are :-* :-*

JIM BROWN a talented , handsome, likeable Black Superstar Actor 1960s/1970s

was memorable/outstanding in:
EL CONDOR 70 , RIO CONCHOS 64 , 100 RIFLES 69 , TAKE A HARD RIDE 75

He appeared also in Classic Action Adventures like MERCENARIES 68 ROD TAYLOR
Racial tension potboiler TICK TICK TICK 1970
Penal island Classic I ESCAPED FROM DEVILā€™s ISLAND 1973 CHRIS GEORGE

JIM BROWN a Leading Man of SWS, Westerns and CLassic 1960s/1970s Films

Jim Brown was also arguably the best football(American) player in history.

Do you know how many years he played for?

If memory serves meā€¦he played 9 seasons for the Cleveland Browns. He quit in his prime to go make movies. He was also a great lacrosse player in college(Syracuse.)

Not bad at all then.

JIM BROWN was a fair sportsman but as an ACTOR of WESTERNS/ACTION FILMS

He was REBORN and BECAME for me the NUMBER 1 Black Actor in Films.

MARIANNA HILL also was a leading lady with many superb films and se-xy talent.

Reading that post that Jim Brown was fair as an athlete is like saying Tiger Woods is an above average golfer! LOL!

I really want to check out El Condor. Sounds like it is interesting enough and entertaining.

JIM BROWN

JIM BROWNā€™s FILM Career credits are extremely impressive and high quality.
Outstanding Westerns, Action Adventures, Thrillers make Jim Brown No 1 Black Actor.

Morgan Freeman and Sidney Poitier fans may disagree as do I.

I disagree too! Fred Williamson all the way. Then Jim Brown and Woody Strode. With Sean Michaels coming up the rear! A star of over 600 films; talented, handsome actor. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Talking of Fred Williamson, thereā€™s a great interview with him in the latest issue of Darkside. Very interesting.

EL CONDOR 1970 LEE VAN CLEEF + JIM BROWN + MARIANNA HILL

I have no doubts that JIM BROWN is the number 1 Black Actor for top film credits.
Fred Wiliamson & Sidney Poitier also good.

Well, I like Jim Brown, but there are so many famous black actorā€™s meanwhile, many, many which are much more famous, also many which are more talented actors.

Morgan Freeman fits for both categories.

I hate to DISAGREE with Herr Stanton but Morgan Freeman is for me TOO RECENT
and has very few ā€œgoodā€ films to his credit. He is supporting, not bad but no big deal.

JIM BROWN = 100 RIFLES 1969 MERCENARIES 1968 EL CONDOR 1970
RIO CONCHOS 1964 TAKE HARD RIDE 1975 I ESC.DEVIL ISLAND 73

After JIM BROWN I would rate Sidney Poitier and Fred Williamson.
