I have the Wild East release of this one, Arizona Colt/The Man from Nowhere and although I donāt like to say anything negative about those guys (after all they concentrate on hard-to-get spaghetti westerns) I must say picture quality of that release is horrible.
It is zoomed, so information is missing from all four sides! Furthermore the image lacks every sharpness, colours are oversaturated, there are specks, vertical lines ā¦ you name it.
The Swiss (?) DVD will have only german audio, so only interesting for those of us who understand that beautiful language (I understand it very well, but have problems writing and speaking it).
Sebastian, Stanton and all those others: if you know anything about the picture quality of the DVD, let us know!
The film Arizona Colt is a not so typical Gemma western, very violent and rather cynical; itās closer in spirit to Fistful of Dollars and Django than to his Ringo movies.

Spaghetti westerns with German dub are fine BUT i honestly prefer them with English dub or Italian dub with subtitles so donāt think I will buy these releases even if the quality is better.

Yes I think weāve talked about this before.
English is the most appropriate language for westerns, and since many Italian SW actors also did their own dubbing for the english version thatās just great.
However some english dubs are just terrible, Django for instance (and there are even a few more) so sometimes the Italian dub is better.

OK, but I was talking about the video quality of the Wild East DVD: itās horrible (the audio, LPCM 2.0 is quite good actually).
I want to have a DVD with good video quality of this DVD, audio or dub is less important.

Its great of Anchorbay/Blue underground to include the italian dialogue with english subs on their Django DVD.
By the way, here is an update on my earlier news that I posted. The president of Wild east emailed me and said that he is waiting for the print to come in and he has to check whether it is damaged or not before he decides to release a new editon of āIF you meet Sartana, Pray for your Deathā. Lets keep our fingers crossed. ā¦

Oh, I understood that. I was simply pointing out that I could live with the picture quality of the Wild East-release. Iāve got a lot of spaghettis with only German dub and I can watch and understand those BUT if given the option between a less-than-perfect English-dubbed version and a better looking German-dubbed version Iāll go for the English one. Dub is important. The Italian dub is (usually) preferred to the English one.
German dubs sometimes sound a bit āharshā to people like myself coming from non-German speaking countries and that can conflict with the viewing experience. A lot of Germans swear to the German dub which is understandable I guess living in a ādub-cultureā. I would never be able to watch a Danish-dubbed (if such a thing existed, it thankfully doesnāt) spaghetti western, it would simply sound ridicolous to me, but only because dubbing into Danish isnāt a thing thatās done with anything but childrenās movies.

German is ok in real life, but dubbed German is a bit hard on the ear yes! Especially for older movies, it seems the people doing the dubbing is just loud and clear reading what the actors on screen are saying 
I think nowadays dubbing is done somewhat better in Germany.
Do you prefer the Italian dub even if the actors are speaking english on the set and doing their own english dub, really??

OK, will finish this off-topic with an answer: Like I wrote i usually prefer the Italian dub but there are exceptions like the one you mentioned and of course if a lot of leading actors are American.
And like I said above Sebastian I believe this is a German company. MIG Filmgroup has a lot of italo stuff coming out, some of them also with Italian dub and German subtitles but sadly not their spaghetti westerns.

No they are new, but MIG Filmgroup has previously released a bunch of Italian comedies with Italian dub and German subtitles and those are very interesting for people interested interested in those non-western but still spaghetti genres 
Has anybody heard about the Black Hill double feature Massacre Time and Man, Pride, ā¦ ??? Massacre Time is supposed to be uncut !!! I wonder whether this is true or not ???

You have to remember that the two movies both have Django in their name in their German titles which makes for a nice Django Double feature sort of.
