I think it’s rather expensive for a pan & scan (1,33:1) version.
Didn’t find the film that great either. It’s a rather straightforward revenge film with some thriller influences. There are some good scenes, but most actors turn in a wooden performance. And Hardin’s disguise is really laughable.
Anyway, it’s region 1, and I haven’t yet made on of my players region free.

I agree, it’s definitly too expensive !!! At amazon.de you can get the movie for €2,99 but their version has German audio only and is region 2 !!!
Luminous has widescreen DVD-R versions of both films with english dub, 10 dollars each. Not in original aspect ratio I assume but still better than fullscreen! I have few Televista/Subversive releases as DVD-Rs and they are all bad quality, taken directly from old VHS releases. I have heard that some of them even has greek subtitles and auto tracking problems originating from bad quality greek tapes they used!
Drummer of Vengeance is also available on DVD in Italy, non-anamorphic 2.35:1, quite good release. Full uncut version, not the 72-minute (or so) version released in most counties. I wonder if this version was ever released outside Italy/dubbed in english. 72-minute version is completely different cut with scenes coming in very different order, some subplots deleted almost entirely etc.
Xplited is selling Italian No Room to Die disc now:

Can anyone tell me what’s the “Bounty killer per una strage” featurette on it. Interviews?
I have that one.
Here’s the info I posted earlier on it.
Audio: Italian / English / French
Format: 16/9 2.35:1
Duration: 97 mins
Special Features: A short documentary (in italian but with english subs if selected) featuring a review of the film and its personel by Manlio Gomarasca (co editor of Nocturno magazine and co curator of the Spaghetti Western retrospective at the Venice Film Festival)
hope that info is in the DB?
Yep. The basics were all there but I have just added the detail about the special feature.

Nice box, much better than the Dutch release I have (it has a picture from BUDDY GOES WEST on front and screenshots from Terence Hill, who’s not in the movie, on the back!)
Picture-wise the Dutch release is mere average.
I always liked the film, which seems to devide SW lovers (Shobary hates it and I read a very negative italian review some time ago)
And what does that text mean:
Fran manusforfattaren till
ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST
(Can’t make it out: manus is hand in latin and forfattaren seems a bit like forefathers, but in combination that doesn’t make much sense - I really need to buy a Swedish dictionary)

It’s Terence Hill from My name is Nobody with Bud Spencer’s head!! ![]()

what are generally the audio options on scandinavian releases?
what are generally the audio options on scandinavian releases?
Usually they have english dub. Today we kill have english audio as well.
Here’s the Danish version of the cover:

Dear me, it’s even worse than I thought!
(Thanks for the correction)

As already pointed out I think, rather expensive.
