Django Unchained (Quentin Tarantino, 2012)

i’ll hold judgement. the first part of the trailer i wasn’t impressed ,but it looks like some of the scenes will be good. as everyone says nice to see Franco Nero involved.

Well, my guess is the movie will kick ass, cause most of Tarantino’s works do. However, I get the feeling his movies are starting to lose that bizarre humour I like about QT movies. Anyway, guess we can all agree on that it’ll be enjoyable seeing all the SW references ;).

Agreed.

Interesting - thanks for sharing. What can I say? This film looks more and more promising.

I feel the idea of Schultz getting the Brittle brothers or not depending on one single person to be a bit far-fetched. But then again, i often tend to over analyze plot lines and stories when i just should sit back and enjoy the ride. And ideas may seem bad on paper, but can work fine depending on how you present them.
Anyway, this will be a fine christmas gift. I have long wondered what a Tarantino western would be like. Haven´t we all.

From a trailer that I saw (main character asked how he likes being a bounty hunter):

“I get to kill white folks and get paid for it. What’s not to like?”

That might fuel even more mayhem…

A Blaxploitation film set in the West.

I’ll pass.

I’m pretty damn excited! Leonardo DiCaprio as the evil plantation owner Calvin Candie is pretty far-out. Every time (in the trailer) when I see him getting pissed off or simply relaxing, gets me fucking syked! ;D

I’m more curious than excited. Hope Mr Tarantino won’t spoil it.

For me he hasn’t made a bad movie yet (I like Death Proof as well, actually one of my favorites.) I trust, believe and know that this spaghetti/Tarantino western will rock my socks off!
I don’t know about you, but some people tend to judge too quickly when they see a bad trailer to a upcoming movie (in this case I liked it - It plays out like a “Tarantino trailer” should, the revenge themed Payback by James Brown, the badass styling, sprinkling blood etc. - It all works, for me that is.
Like you I’m curious and extremely (had to ad that) excited! ;D

LOL. I think blaxploitation in a spaghetti western is a bit too much.
I don’t judge yet, it’s useless to say anything about it.
I simply prefer to remain calm. I usually hate those movies which don’t come up to my expectations.

Haha! then you wouldn’t like this > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgbVsuYsRuc - not a spaghetti western, but still… ;D

wouldnt be exciting if everyone agreed, right?

For those who are excited, of course follow The Quentin Tarantino Archives for all the updates on the movie

I just think that anything with Django in the title should be filmed in Almeria or in Italy… well in Europe

…and the only official sequel was filmed in Columbia.

Well I for one am very excited about it. Even though this has little to do with the original Django besides the title and a Nero cameo, it is sure to bring more mainstream attention to Spaghetti westerns and the original Django.

New trailer up! Whats the song from 00:09? I cant remember.

Always enjoy Tarantino films despite any complaints I could make, and always enjoy a chance to see a western on the big screen. Looking particularly forward to seeing this one, given its influences

…and Django in its title. :stuck_out_tongue:
