Comin’ at Ya! (Ferdinando Baldi, 1981)

Hope it does well. Not the worst Anthony western for me.

Tony Anthony has done a lot of current interviews in conjunction with the release of Comin’ At Ya 3D this weekend in Texas… Have fun…go see it…

But worse enough. The 3 D shots are plain ridiculous.

The bat scene is weird for sure, straight out of a gothic horror film of the 60’s. Viewed the non 3D version again but in 2.35 this time. The quality is VHS which is a shame, but sort of makes the film look like an older film in this format so its a bit of a bonus on that front. Some scenes ripped of from Blindman of course to do with the women, but its alot better than some of the rubbish Spaghetti westerns of the early 70’s. Anthony still had that quality in this though, which made his earlier films so enjoyable.

Any non-3D prints of this movie? I bought the DVD, which came with oldschool 3D glasses but it was really difficult for me to relax with it. I can hardly see the picture with the blue and red. Very annoying!

Didn’t read this before I made my post! I just bought the Rhino DVD. Quite a disappointment. Which version should I buy?

Patience…

I don’t have a BluRay player. It was difficult making the transition to DVD. I held out with VHS for a long time until I finally surrendered.

I think they’ll be releasing a dvd version too which will be 2D.

Good news. Be nice to have this in a good quality 2D version.

That’s good to hear.

COMIN’ AT YA! now available on DVD and BluRay, get it! https://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/Comin’_at_ya!/BluRay

Yeah, yeah. On wishlist. Not the greatest of spaghettis as far as I remember. The 3D dvd was nearly impossible to watch, so thank God for the 2D-option this time around.

Was there ever a theatrical re-release?

Not outside of festivals.

Of course not. There ain’t an audience for such an outsider film.

There actually was a theatrical release in 2012. Drafthouse films distributed the picture for a few months (maybe less) during the early months of the aforementioned year. The film did so poorly they pulled it from their theatres.

So who has this disc? The Amazon reviews are a mixed bag, but would love to heard some thoughts from our community here, ideally a review!
