Geez Louise, thatās beautiful! If it wasnāt $65 I would have dropped for it. I got the t-shirt though!
But its only $25
Oh. facepalm Been looking at the wrong perk the entire time
I hope that if the Arrow project comes through, they do the reversible covers like their UK releases. I always prefer the original poster art and its nice to see someone releasing discs with this option
Day of Anger will definitely be one Iāll be picking up when it gets released; nice art and nice to see such a high-profile title getting the HD treatment (no one will ever mistake Django, Prepare a Coffin as a classic of the genre).
nice artwork. I already pitched in on their Indiegogo campaign. Yāall should to likewise :)
Not me, canāt stand the company.
They call me no one ![]()

So anybody have any idea what kind of quality to expect? Or audio tracks? Something? The company is called MVL - Medienvertrieb Lauenstein in Amazon.de.
I sense trouble
seems like as usual licenses have expired and some other weird distributor is at it againā¦
Time will tell I suppose.

Companeros Blue Underground review, and its not a positive one.
2/5 for PQ - ouch - and from the screencaps, it seems to be right: very filtered; Still might pick this up, as itās the best release there is so far, but surely thereāll be an unfiltered European release down the road (Koch Media perhaps?)).
time to dig deep into archives to find better source material⦠i wanna time travel to the 70s and conserve all those film prints
Is it the source material or just Blue Undergroundās limited ability to secure exceptional transfers?
Seems they consistently have issues with getting best possible transfers for their releases, not that its always their fault, from what I remember this is partly a restriction placed on them by the rights holders which limits what they can use or something.
But when the same titles are released by a different company, seems to be a consistently better transfer.
Really love BU, but its a pity they have these problems
Outside of the Leone films, near reference quality blu rays seem about as common as a Swastika at a Bar Mitzvah.
Iām pretty sure all the old school hardcore VHS collectors think weāre a bunch of spoiled pussies for complaining about PQ lol.
I dunno man, even Fidani has received excellent blu ray treatment at this point.
Its not complicated, scan the print and donāt filter away all the detail⦠donāt think that is too much to ask. If anything, the filtering should cost more as it is extra processing
According to posters at blu-ray.com the new standalone release US Blu-Ray of GBU (from the 4K restoration) has the original English mono track included. Not lossless though.
I did suspect it was an accident it wasnāt included with the original releases earlier this year (the boxsets and all the standalone releases in other countries) and this does seem to confirm it to me at least.
Sorry, what do you mean by lossless? And will that mean the new release will switch to Italian with subtitles or to the redone audio for the cut scenes? Or will that mean you can get the theatrical cut of the film?
