In this collection there are two outsiders, Comanche blanco and Apache Blood (!?)

Informative reading. And yes how different to see Bud without a beard, but Van Cleef does not appear to wear a hair rug which is good.

Tried to upload the cover art of this new edition of BEYOND THE LAW but as usual the uploader says it’s full and not available. Here’s the link to the amazon exclusive:
A restored, uncut hi-def transfer of BEYOND THE LAW has been released in Germany and Japan but the former is English unfriendly and the latter is long out of print. So is the Wild East DVD which although not the hi-def restoration goes for insane prices. I would ignore this new MOD if it didn’t come from TGG direct who have been putting out some nice transfers on blu-ray lately. I wonder what their source is. I don’t suppose anyone’s seen this new DVD-R?
If the runtime is correct it is the cut version anyway.
90 minutes would most probably mean it’s the version that was released theatrically and often shown on German television. The story is easy to follow in the shorter version, but the longer version is preferable. It’s much different and better, but still not great. And it’s not a western for those who like them mean and violent.
One I was not to fond of till I viewed the longer version.
They tried to make a sort of revenge movie from it in the shorter version, and it’s simply not that kind of spagh
I watched the long version last night. I got a little impatient with it sometimes, but I rate it 3 stars.
Watched this tonight (Wild East DVD). Overall, found it boring. Guess I always knew it was not a great film, thus it took me so long to actually get around to it. Thought that Gorden Mitchell had some good scenes (in a campy sort of way) and the ending was ok. All in all, just not that interesting of a film. I give it two stars…

Took the words right out of my mouth.
Lee Van Cleef was an actor ready for the best or the worst.I can’t describe it as a crap but after one view is an easily forgotten one.A moderate 2 from me.
Best thing about this was Gordon Mitchell. Really made a great, if a little cliché, villain.
The film definitely had some good points, some nice character stuff, interplay etc, between Van Cleef and his thieves.
Van Cleef ‘going soft’ definitely wasn’t believable though. He didn’t even get the girl I the end anyway.
Frequently boring but then Gordon Mitchell would get a scene and youd want to keep on watching.
Overall 3 stars for me, I had been expecting much more seeing as it had been mentioned in some of the top 20 threads.
I really like “Beyond The Law”…The copy I have from Direct Source is 105 minutes which I assume is uncut??
The Direct Source copy looks like it was a VHS transfer…So the video quality is terrible…
Does anyone know if there is an English audio version of this film still available uncut that has good video quality?
I’d prefer to buy the film by itself…Rather than in a combo pack, but just let me know what’s currently available (not oop)…
Region does not matter either…I can play practically any region of discs…
Thanks…
Three stars. It’s an enjoyable one and I liked the plot. I didn’t think the ending was very good though. It should have ended with them either stealing the gold or all three of them deciding to be good guys. Lee Van Cleef is always worth watching. His character in this one reminded me of the way he played Jaroo in El Condor. The tragic ending is similar, as well. Both Beyond the Law and El Condor are very comedic until the end.
Amazon.de lists the DVD as available and the Blu-ray as unavailable. Hope it hasn’t been cancelled!
Maybe a mistake at Amazon.
The release is still on the KOCH FILMS page, so I doubt that the blu is cancelled.

Anyway it will only include the short German theatrical cut (about 89 minutes), so this release is not that important imo.
I wonder whether your opinion has changed since 2008.
And only German audio! Extremely disappointing
Definitely still in need of a decent international BluRay
