Best Death Scene?

when the fat guy is stabbed in the stomach with a machete then hooked in the back and hanged from the ceiling over FIVE DOLLARS in Cut Throats Nine

The guy getting his guts ripped out by gold hungry townsfolk in Django Kill!

Anytime someone over dramatically dies from a single shot falling down, then standing up and rolling around in pain, falling down, then standing up again before flipping over and falling back down much like in Fistful of Dollars and Death Rides A Horse, to let you know justice has been EXTRA SERVED

I gotta go with Tomas Milian’s death in The Bounty Killer. 2nd would be George Hilton and his crew’s death in A Bullet For Sandoval.

Good call on Sandoval, Ramon. Love that scene. It may be cliche, but the family massacre in Once Upon a Time in the West gets me every time. So much emotional power in that scene.

the masacre scene with the soldiers in BLINDMAN

The only ones that I can remember right is Fernando Sancho’s small part in the opening church shootout in Vengeance is Mine, and Garko shoots him through the chin whilst hiding in a coffin, but one that made me laugh was in Unholy Four, when Eastman shoots through a ceiling, hitting a guy in the crotch, and Mann blasting him off his feet.

The gatling gun massacre scene in Django is the best massacre or mass killing which no one mentioned yet… ;D

Have to go with the death of Silence. The first time I saw that ending, it completely kicked me in the guts. Have to say it still maintains a powerful punch with each repeated viewing.

I agree! I couldn’t stop laughing with that hippie-madman-gatling-guy!

Nobody mentioned the Tomahawk scene from Navajo Joe!

Good call! I don’t know how that escaped me as I just revisited the film.

But that’s definitely one of the best!

Perhaps a bit low key, but I thought that Lionel Stander’s death in ‘Beyond the Law’ was well done. Honestly, one of the more memorable things of the film.

I concur.

The Flying Shovel in No Room To Die?

I haven’t seen that one. But a “flying shovel” sounds interesting!

Hahaha! ;D You are right!
It has the same element of surprise like the flying tomahawk of Joe!

Actually, I find the family massacre from Once upon a Time in the West very well made, but my favourite is the death of Frank.

That family massacre is a very powerful scene. Elegantly done.

I can’t think of a more powerful scene. I remember that when I first watched it, I got gooseflesh all over my body!

Then I watched the movie two more times in the next two days! It’s my favourite SW…

I think I’ve only watched the film in its entirety maybe three times. I really enjoy it, though. Just a bit long…

Another great one in OUATITW is Fabio Testi’s death, how he survived that fall and can still walk properly is just lucky.
