:newspaper: NEW STUFF IN AND AROUND THE SWDB IN :spiral_calendar: APRIL 2025:

:boom: Emerging, ongoing and future improvement projects

At this stage I want to refer you to once more the December recap which had a huge rundown of all the things we’re doing and where you could help out with. We continue to keep improving things all around the SWDb and we’ll continue reporting in more depth on progress on certain projects later in the year.

Special shout-out to @ozerovocka , who is making some major contributions to the SWDb’s treasure of posters, lobby cards, stills and newspaper clippings. Many more team members from around the world make improvements to the database every day, and so can you. if you’re interested, please reach out.

:clipboard: … as always: join the SWDb, help out, it will make it better  You don’t have to become a full time editor or official staff to contribute. Anything from being active in the forum to correcting mistakes to joining entire improvement projects is more than welcome. From all over the world, in all languages, we welcome help!

:moneybag: :dollar: Those of you who feel inclined to donate a dollar or euro or yen or real or whatever, head here. PayPal has improved the donation experience, check it out - and you don’t even need a PayPal account to donate. Also, whenever you shop at Amazon, click on one of the SWDb’s Amazon links first, it doesn’t matter which one and what you buy. We can really use the cash to beef up the server infrastructure, and if we can get enough donations we should finally hire someone to fix some major issues with the underlying tech to make the SWDb better and safer again. :dvd: Home video news:

In April there were some surprise additions of two new books, a few re-releases in Japan and Germany, a welcome DVD release in Italy, and two cool new release in the UK!

May will be super interesting, and there could still be some changes, as just today we added an upcoming German BluRay of Silver Saddle. Then htere’s of course the first two dollars films, read below, and there will be new German BluRays of the Trinity films as well. Maybe this is all a sign of things to come, the summer will be interesting!

The big item this spring to summer is Arrow Video’s UK 4K UHD Dollars Trilogy. Extras and specifications are available in our database. These look amazing so far, and you can already pre-order them (e.g. through the Amzn links in the SWDb).
A Fistful of Dollars will be released in May because it had to be slightly postponed, (learn more and pre-order), For a Few Dollars More also in May (learn more and pre-order) and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (including the documentary Sad Hill Unearthed) in June (learn more and pre-order)

Plase do egularly check the calendar, we often update it several times a day!
