[A Fistful of Pasta] Latest Reviews

Entertaining review, but I’m a member of the secret company of fans of The Monkees ! (Yes,I’m a Believer)

Hey, Scherp, so am I. I even have the ones after they started quitting. You saw the post at my blog last week about the Monkees and Zappa, right?

Ok, a tiny change. Fistful is going to occasionally feature an American western . The focus is still very much spaghetti, of course, just an occasional treat. Scherp kicks it off with a review of Shane:

Nice review JD.

Reading the book

A great read of course, although I don’t always agree with Alex
He’s very harsh on Corbucci and The good, the bad and the Ugly and to me these long plot desciptions don’t make much sense
But it’s very nice to read a book that is written from a director’s point of view, especially for me: I have never been involved in the making of a movie, and I often feel this as a great miss.

See, I thought he was spot on with Corbucci, as I’ve always thought of him as very overrated. I never understood how films like The Mercenary garner such high critical acclaim.
