I got the e-mail too
. Hopefully itāll come by Monday.
I received an email from Wild East on October 10 stating that the DVD has shipped.
Likewise
My copy arrived today. Iām going to try to watch one of the films tonight if I have time. These are my first Craig Hill Spaggies, so Iām stoked!
Our friends at Wild East are fans of Craig Hill and wanted to source out more of his films for DVD. I appreciate that fact. I also appreciate that THE DIRTY FIFTEEN (1968) and AND THE CROWS WILL DIG YOU GRAVE (1972) are extremely scarce and hard to come by. However, the picture quality of THE DIRTY FIFTEEN is about equal to an old VHS, and not a very good quality VHS. Itās muddy and streaky with blown contrasts and little definition. AND THE CROWS WILL DIG YOUR GRAVE has better definition and color, but it is a long ways from an acceptable HD transfer.
In situations like this, Wild East needs to issue a statement in the promotional art and on the DVD cover art that only poor quality transfers were available, but they hope fans will find them worth the cost because they are scarce and good films. Such a statement, or a wording like it, is only fair to the customer. An advance warning will also ward off disappointment and bad reviews because everyone will know in advance what theyāre paying for and have no justification to complain.
In comparison, the spags on Mill Creekās budget-priced Blu-rays are much higher quality transfers.

Yeap!..I was affraid of that, thatās why I didnāt order it. Itās a hit or miss with them and thatās too bad. But theyāre a good company nevertheless.
Could we please get a screenshot of And The Crows Will Dig Your Grave?
Does it look like this
http://www.spaghettiwesterndvds.com/movies/fifteen-scaffolds-for-the-killer-quindici-forche-per-un-assassino/screenshots/ ?
And the other film is probably just a copy of the Italian disc.
I think those screenshots look better than the Wild East release, Sundance. Richard I agree with you 100%. I was a bit disappointed with The Dirty Fifteen. Crows was decent enough, but I wouldāve liked a print that was a bit better. Overall though, Iām still happy to have the films. I liked the Craig Hill interview/documentary and the trailers.
Looks to me that parts of the crows will dig your grave came from some 16mm drive in print. I liked both flicks picture wasnāt as bad as stated above. To any that say it was take a look at WE008. Story was good in both of them too.
Sundance, the opening titles are in English. It says THE DIRTY FIFTEEN. The screen grabs look marginally cleaner and sharper than the Wild East disc. I agree with Ramon Red on this one.
Spuff vermon, I wouldnāt be surprised if AND THE CROWS WILL DIG YOUR GRAVE came partly from 16mm. Some shots are seriously out of focus, and occasionally an entire sequence turns excessively grainy and blurry.

Received mine yesterday. Iām also a little disappointed with the picture quality of Quindici forche per un assassino. Iāve got the spanish DVD so I kind of expect an upgrade. Didnāt happen.
My Craig Hill double feature arrived this morning.
If you get a moment can you let me know the running time of the Craig Hill interview, cheers.
Ennioo, the Craig Hill interview runs 28m 49s.
Thanks RamonRed
.
Just viewed the Craig Hill interview on the recent Wild East disc. Hill looks pretty frail but still has a smile. Interesting watch, and had a surprise when Hillās favourite western he starred in is also my favourite Hill western. Found about a few non western Hill films I need to check out, including a western I have not heard of before.
Hi Amigos. Nest Of Vipers/Tails You Lose is now available for pre-order.
Great news, I just ordered it.
Iām at work right now. As soon as I get home Iām pre-ordering!
Could I trouble anyone for a screenshot of And the Crows Will Dig Your Grave?
