Why is there always a priest in the stage coach?

Either he’s a simple passenger, sometimes he’s the baddie or the goodie in disguise… but he’s always there.

I don’t notice a priest in that many. There seem to be lot of salesmen selling ladies’ apparel.

If there’s a priest in the stagecoach, then any cold-bloodied murder is not just about greed, but is an act against the Good Lord himself. The guilty party will not just have the weight of the law against him - but has his eternal damnation to take into the equation as well. Great!

Which films though… ?

You’d think more stage companies would jump on the bandwagon, so to speak…what better insurance than a priest? Holy Roller ! ;D
