Its a rip-off of the cult classic “Stone”.
The bikers flick you mean?

Yes the australian biker flick from 1974.

Scherp, what do you think of Verhoeven’s Black Book?
AD in an AD movie: thought about that too, forgot to mention it.
Black Book is an OK movie, but not as good as Soldier of Orange
There are maybe a bit too many Verhoevenisms; on the other hand, his sardonic humour is absent for most part. The film doesn’t really make a lasting impression. I saw it a few years ago, and have trouble to call it back to mind. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to watch it again actually … The fact that Soldier of Orange made a more lasting impression, may be caused by the fact that I saw it for the first time when I was much younger. I have noticed that films you saw for the first time when you were young simply mean more to you.
I am hoping to get around to watching some Shaw Bros. films I haven’t seen before.
Also, I have a few Mexican films and a couple of Spaghetti Westerns on the “need to watch” pile.
I don’t really have all that much to do, today, so I might just have an all-night movie-fest here at the Casey Casa!
PS= For what it is worth, I liked Verhoeven’s BLACK BOOK quite a lot. Probably not a popular thing to say, but it is my favorite film from his works. I was never a big fan of ROBO-COP or BASIC INSTINCT.
Glad to hear you liked Black Book of our master of schlock Mr. Paul Verhoeven, Chris
Robocop and Basic Instinct are not among my favourite Verhoevens.
My favourites are (from his Dutch period): Soldier of Orange, The 4th Man, and from his Hollywood days: Starship Troopers and Showgirls
I had forgotten about THE 4TH MAN. I enjoyed that one, as well; but, it has been quite a long time since I saw it.
I don’t think I have ever seen SOLDIER OF ORANGE.
I didn’t care at all for STARSHIP TROOPERS. But, that is the Sci-Fi hater inside me coming forward, I think! ![]()
I did enjoy SHOWGIRLS for all the right/wrong reasons, though.
;D
Viewed a few:
Missing In Action 2…Chuck doing his stuff.
The Bastard…Stopped watching as could tell it was heavily cut.
Hardware…British version of The Terminator, and better than I thought first time round.
Ready for a change of pace now so going to view 92 In The Shade with Fonda and Oates.
Heheh, my nostalgia factor is quite strong too. One of my biggest guilty pleasures would probably be the fact that i have copies of all the Blondie and Dagwood flicks. We also have two cats named Daisy and Baby Dumpling.

I will be watching “House of Usher” Directed by Roger Corman and starring Vincent Price and Mark Damon tonight.
" Cold Prey: Resurrection" tonight. hope it’s better than the first, not expecting much though.
Maybe that’ll make it better?
That’s a pretty fine avatar, Man with a Name. Great looking
I agree with Yodlaf, it’s also my favorite one. It has all the trademarks of Chuck’s 80’s action flicks!
I’ll be watching GANGS OF NEW YORK tonight.
That’s a pretty fine avatar, Man with a Name. Great looking
thanks Stanton, i’m getting in the lupine mood, as i’m seeing " The Wolfman" on Thursday.
Maybe that’ll make it better?
that would be good, i’ve heard the sequel is better, faster paced but this is from the same people that said the first is great, we’ll see later, each viewer has their own opinons on a film anyway and that’s as it should be.
Viewed Looking For Mr Goodbar.
A teacher of deaf children leads a pretty normal life in the day. At night she likes to enjoy herself usually in the company of men.
Like the different sides of the character played by Diane Keaton, but I will always remember her in Woody Allen films the most. Film drags a little towards the end.
I don’t know what I’m watching tonight but what I do know is I have the day off tomorrow, the wife and kids are asleep and I have the TV to myself!!!
Something extra gritty and violent, methinks.

Try The Deserter/La Spina Dorsale del Diavolo (see: Last Western thread), it’s gritty and quite violent
"Idiocracy " tonight.
