Poor you…
I am in the middle of an action movie called 12 Rounds (2009, Renny Harlin)
The kind of movie that gives you a headache:
Chase scenes with cars, more chase scenes with cars, chase scenes on foot, chase scenes with trucks, cars, boats, cars, and in between a few explosions, falls, jumps, explosions and chase scenes.
Can’t think of any reason why I would like to finish this movie, but that’s what I’m about to do
Is this the one with the WWE guy in it??
I don’t know what WWE is, something to do with W(orld) W(restling) ?
Could imagine that, the guy is called (if I’m not mistaken) John Cena, and looks like he has been inflated by 12 wrestlers using 12 bycicle pumps for 12 rounds
I have never seen such a ridiculous action movie: it’s all action, from a to z, and no excitement at all
There’s one funny line though:
Move on! Barry Manilow is on the radio!

Yeah that’s the guy. I had the misfortune to see his first film! :-[
Viewed The Deadly Spawn.
Creatures large and small come to attack a small U.S town.
The guy to save the day is a young boy who seems to know alot more than the adults which is nice. Very low budget but the effects in this are really good considering the budget.

One of my favourites!
Do you have on DVD then Silver? Surprised how much extra gore was in the U.S dvd compared to my old U.K pre-cert VHS.
Yes i picked up the R1 dvd quite some time ago now. Had been waiting for someone to put it out for years!
Ah right. Got Street Trash on the same label. The literal melt down of homeless people due to the drinking of some bad booze. One scene sticks in my mind in this, which you will find tasteless or funny
YOu know, that’s one of the few films of that ilk/era that i never actually got round to watching. So what’s this scene? Or is it too dodgy to mention here!
One of the homeless people gets his manhood chopped off so to speak, and other homeless people start to play American football with it
Haha! That’s almost as good as the film with the bigfoot, where he grabs hold of the guy taking a leak in the bushes…
Is that one Night of the Demon ?
That’s the one! Very funny write up about it in Video Trash and Treasures…likening the bigfoot to a cheap toilet seat cover, and saying “Shoddy and mindless perhaps, but you can’t be too hard on a movie that hacks up a pair of girl scouts and rips off a guys testicles while he’s taking a piss!”
Yes
. It has always been one of my favourites of the so called video nasties. Have on dvd some where I think but not viewed yet, will dig out at the weekend. It was a sad day when I sold my uncut pre-cert of this, as at the time was not available uncut on dvd. The sell through U.K VHS was cut to ribbons as I remember.
Yes the vhs version was butchered! I didn’t even realise it was out on dvd! Is this an R1 or R2?
Not sure. Will dig out and let you know. Skipped through when I received though and was the uncut version
.
not sure if Im gonna get around to it tonight…but I have Spirited Away next on my viewing schedule…never seen it, heard it was great, ive seen Miyazaki’s Howls Moving Castle and I enjoyed that one.
I will be watching “Bad Day at Black Rock”
rewatched Inglorious Bastards today. Kinda took a nap during it… it was the medicine taking over.
