Black Emanuelle’s Groove by Nico Fidenco .
A selection of tracks from the Emanuelle Movies of sleaze master Joe D’Amato.
I can never get enough of Nico Fidenco soundtrack stuff, as the guy does some pretty catchy themes.
Funny idea, talking about Emanuelle, preferring the audio to the video.
Still, the music hasn’t changed in the course of the years, which cannot be said about Emanuelle.
I don’t know about the black one, but I saw Sylvia Kristel the other day on Dutch television, and if you can’t say something nice …
I like the Joe D’Amato directed Emanuelle (one m) films as they are; different, ahead of their time, sleazy and often violent and of course the scores of Nico Fidenco.
Oh, and there is of course Laura Gesmer
French Emmanuelle films with Sylvia Kristel, have two m’s in the title.

Well, never noticed the two m’s.
Must have been looking to other things.
And I always thought Black Emanuela was just another soft porn flick, with Laura replacing Sylvia.
But ‘different, sleazy, ahead of their time and often violent’ doesn’t sound Kristel clear.
There’s a coupl’a downright sleazy touches in D’Amato’s EMANUELLE AND THE LAST CANNIBALS that are worth viewing - if women being filthy to themselves, and others, is the sort of thing you depraved people like. It’s the only E(one M)ANUELLE film I’ve seen. For some reason I can’t quite remember the soundtrack tho’. Maybe another viewing!

Postrock, but unlike most postrock orientated bands (Godspeed, Mogway, Sigur Rós) their music is more melodic and accessible. Like most recent British indie bands they’re influenced by Radiohead, but they’re less lamentable and cynical.
‘C’era una volta il western’ double cd. Particularly appreciating the ‘Carambola’ track (Bixio/Frizzi). That is one stunning bit of music. Never seen the film tho’.
