The Kinks. When I was a kid and the whole world was discussing who were better, The Beatles of The Stones, I always thought The Kinks were the best of all. I lost sight of them later, musical preferences evolve, but I redicovered them lately and now they’re my favourite band again. Celluloid Heroes is a true masterpiece:
I have volumes 2 & 3 of those compilations and play them often. I’ve tried to get the others but they’re always too pricey for me
Mobb Deep - The Infamous

It’s only Rock ‘n’ Roll (but I like it) ![]()
Johnny Cash is cool, but I’m more of a Marty Robbins kind of gal
Check out this amazing track from the “100.000 dollars for Ringo” OST.
Absolutely epic, it would be perfect for a final shootout scene. (Sadly the film just uses it for the opening chase while the credits roll, which is a massive missed opportunity imho).
I’m surprised it hasn’t been reused by an action film or something like that.
Here is a song from the movie Rebus (1969), a semi-eurospy movie co-produced by Italy-Spain-West Germany-Argentina. The score by SW composer Luis Bacalov.
Starring Laurence Harvey and Hollywood actress Ann Margaret (who also sings in the film). Shot in Beirut the capital of Lebanon, which was the Paris of the Middle East in the 1960s, a tourist destination with night clubs and casinos. In 1975 a civil war started in Lebanon which tore the country apart. Quite a few eurospy movies were actually shot in Lebanon, it seems to have been sort of the Almeria of the spy genre.
