’Loves me some Lalo Schifrin.'

Had to re-buy these, after someone knicked the others.

There are some classics, such as ‘Enter the Dragon’; ‘The Four Musketeers’; ‘Kelly’s Heroes’ etc, that are now unobtainable, and probably gone forever.

However, such is the distinctive, impeccable style of Lalo Schifrin, that sections of the soundtracks above, remind me so much of his excellent scores to the films that I don’t have anymore - such is the genius of Schifrin.

I really like this…the scenery is beautiful, too…

I always spend Saturday mornings drinking coffee, reading fantasy novels, and listening to this Dungeon Synth playlist. It’s a great time.

Just finished Raise Your Hands, Dead Man, You’re Under Arrest and the music was so good I had to give it a second listen.

Since February of this year, I’ve been attempting to listen to every album in Rolling Stone Magazine’s Top 500 Albums of All Time, which was first published in something like 2003 and received an update in around 2012, but which had a second update only last year. I’m hoping it’ll broaden my tastes, maybe open me up to some genres/styles/artists I hadn’t previously considered. So far, I’ve listened to every album from #500 (Funeral by Arcade Fire from 2004) to #140 (Catch a Fire by Bob Marley & the Wailers from 1973).

Getting ready tonight for my first ‘date’ since my divorce…Got to admit…I’m very nervous…After 30 years of marriage, then being alone, I’m now in my comfort zone…

Apparently, she likes Donna Summer…so getting tuned in to Donna. It’s a good job I like her take on the 1977 ‘The Deep’ theme.
I love the film, and the theme…Groovy!

I hope to JC she doesn’t ask me to dance!!

Wish me luck…please

UPDATE: It didn’t work out… according to the Fast Show…“Oh, Bugger!”

And, for added good measure…a classic scene from the classic ‘The Full Monty’. Magic, if it makes you smile.

This scene from '‘Monty’ always makes me smile…just like Del Boy acting cool, and then going arse over tit through the bar… :grinning:

Call me a pessimist, but also listening to ‘Harmonica’s theme’…just in case everything goes arse over tit with my first date…I hope it doesn’t. She sounds like a really nice lady.

Good luck! I would just go into it to have fun and not worry too much about what she thinks. If she likes you then great! If not, oh well. Someone else out there will.
