might actually be decades too late for that, I bet it would take considerable effort to reburbish it in a way that it would be closer to its original state. on the other hand, it was used in so many different movies, each of which it was modified for, that the question would be to which state it should be properly restored in order for it to be a proper landmark. at any rate, it shouldnt be a family vacation attraction but a museum piece and treated as a cultural heritage site

The ranch house never really changed throughout it’s filming history - it wasn’t altered until the horrible restoration work was done when it became a tourist attraction.
Look at any clips from 1968 productions until, ‘Buddy Goes West’ in 1981 … it’s practically the same.

Better than not having it there at all though…and the main Leone building, the swiss-chalet, was left relatively untouched by the buyers…
