Vote for Our Official Top 20

Welcome to the SWDB, wagner!

Gets a fair bit of love, this one, and I’ve never seen it. I’m going to have to check it out ASAP.

watched Red Sun few years ago and wasn’t impressed, although only thing i can remember of it now is corpse like performance by Alain Delon

Ok, it’s been a while since my last Top 20, and as I’ve watched and rewatched some fine spaghettis here’s an update:

  1. C’era una volta il West (Sergio Leone)

  2. Il ritorno di Ringo (Duccio Tessari)

  3. Dio perdona… Io no! (Giuseppe Colizzi)

  4. Ringo del Nebraska (Antonio Roman, Mario Bava)

  5. Keoma (Enzo G. Castellari)

  6. Per un pugno di dollari (Sergio Leone)

  7. I vigliacchi non pregano (Mario Siciliano)

  8. Django (Sergio Corbucci)

  9. Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo. (Sergio Leone)

  10. Lo voglio morto (Paolo Bianchini)

  11. El precio de un hombre (Eugenio Martín)

  12. Mannaja (Sergio Martino)

  13. Un dollaro tra i denti (Luigi Vanzi)

  14. …continuavano a chiamarlo Trinita (Enzo Barboni)

  17. Il mercenario (Sergio Corbucci

  18. Ancora dollari per i MacGregor (Jose Luis Merino)

An interesting list with big surprises in fourth, ninth and eighteenth place.

surprising, haven’t seen it, but now this spaghie has my attention

Believe me, it isn’t worth much attention …

… Bible Joe might disagree though.

Haven’t watched it either, will do some day, but I’m not in a hurry

perplexing - on the 4th place, among all those great spaghies - there must be something to it

I couldn’t spot the slightest bit of this something.

One has Death Played the Flute at top of his list. Which at least makes a little more sense for me.

wait until you’ll see my new rearranged TOP 20 - Death played the flute at top is nothing … noooothing

Holy shit, this sounds suspenseful…

It’s on You Tube, good image quality, but with Italian audio only:

This 4th place made me mighty curious, so I might give it a try in the course of this week

Yes, i’m mighty curious too and i’ll watch it and if it’s not better than Good Bad Ugly as indicated, Bible Joe would be personally responsible for spoiling our youth

I thought I’d throw in my top 20 list for the heck of it!

  1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  2. The Big Gundown
  3. Vamos a Matar, Companeros
  4. For a Few Dollars More
  5. The Great Silence
  6. Day of Anger
  7. Keoma
  8. The Hellbenders
  9. The Grand Duel
  10. A Fistful of Dollars
  11. My Name is Nobody
  12. Lone and Angry Man
  13. The Price of Power
  14. Run, Man, Run
  15. Face to Face
  16. Minnesota Clay
  17. Take a Hard Ride
  18. Buddy Goes West
  19. A Bullet for the General
  20. Hannie Caulder

Runners up: A Bullet for a Stranger, Cemetery Without Crosses, Once Upon a Time in America, and the Trinity films.

Hannie Caulder isn’t considered as a Spag by us. Shall I take A Bullet for a Stranger for the main list then?

Which film is A Bullet for a Stranger btw? And which is Lone and Angry Man?

Gli fumavano le Colt… lo chiamavano Camposanto I believe

And which is Lone and Angry Man?
And this one should be Una Bara per lo sceriffo

Yep, I would make “A Bullet for a Stranger” 20 in that case. I only hope it gets a decent release one day! Bill San Antonio is right with the Italian titles on both accounts. I just used the somewhat lame titles from IMDB because that’s where I had my list.
