From what I remember, the third and final film of the Man Called Horse series feels much cheaper than its predecessors. I didn’t realise there was European involvement until I noticed it was included on the database. So far I have a VHS in bad quality. I’d like to give it another watch. Anybody know if there’s better prints out there?
IMBD provided some interesting trivia:
“Sam Peckinpah was originally scheduled to direct at the behest of Sir Richard Harris (both had previously worked together on Major Dundee (1965)). Due to Peckinpah’s unofficial blacklist after his erratic behavior on Convoy (1978), he was replaced by John Hough.”
