Looks like a beautiful place. Where is it? and Why is it on the Things that really annoy me Thread ???

read page 5, I guess we went off topic

I want to go there!

Really. Are you telling me that you don’t have scenery like that in Jersey, c’mon!
Been to Jersey a few times & when we stopped to rent a ahem ‘Motel’ they asked ‘how many hours?’

(See I…I…Idiot’s photo above, 5 posts back)
Actually it looks like an Austrian village up in the mountains, Kufstein or something

It’s where Korano’s going. He says it’s The Rockies. Nice pic, can’t take credit though.

Found the place on Wikipedia

Great work, Sherlock

korano’s not going far from home then, since he’s living - as far as I know - in Seattle

yea hard to believe isn’t it… where were you Elizabeth, Jersey City, or any of the other cultural mecca’s in NJ… yea we got nada… I do love our coastline - great beaches.

To make up for the off topic discussion. I hate the feeling in your legs and ass after you ride a horse for 4 hours! Man it hurts. Poor cowboys.

Yeah anyway, it’s a great town with lots of candy. Great taffy and fudge. Hope I can upload some of my photos on to the web. And I mistook the Rockies for the Cascades. But we do have a pinch of rocky mountain.

Ha ha, but you get used to it with more practise. Then it’s no problem to ride all day.

I imagine so. I hadn’t ridden in over 10 years and then only side sadle with one of my parents. Are you a rider Stanton?

I was riding a bit, but that was 15 years ago. a friend of mine had horses then, and there was a beautiful girl …

In the beginning it’s great for a muscle ache, just like other things you do you are not used to. Like e.g. climbing up to fast a Wind Energy Plant. Only 60 meters, but enough to feel it the next day.

For me, it seems trotting is difficult enough but you see old trailers for serials with gimmick heroes and oneguy who I can’t remeber, is seen at full gallop, flopping the sides of his horse. Touching the ground , swinging over to the otherside and so on. Eventually landing on the horse backwards and tipping his hat. I wanna do that!

Well, for those things you need a damn lot of practise. And talent. Much talent.

Of course in the old westerns all of these spectacular riding scenes are massively speeded up. Too often they don’t cut after the stuntman has fallen down from the horse, but then they want to show that it was a real stunt and the man has to mount up again, but there you see now his extremely fast and unrealistic motions. But I think it was still dangerous to shoot.

WMG AND GOOGLE! I hate them!
