I have mentioned it somewhere else here before…I have an Italian 35mm copy so it is confirmed movie was released.
I watched this one today under the title “bounty killer” and really enjoyed it!
This one feels like a halfway point between a typical Italian spaghetti western and a Anthony Mann type American western!
Tomas Milian Is incredible in one of his first roles in a spaghetti western! A real hidden gem when it comes to the more obscure euro westerns and would make a good double feature with Sergio Corbucci‘s “Minnesota Clay” (1964)!
That is I think a very fitting observation
Thanks I thought so too!
Not sure if I can agree, but I will think about that next time I rewatch The Bounty Killer.
Hmm, reminds me that it is a Spag overdue for a re-watch …
But that also means that you think it is not a typical SW?

I was more so saying that parts of it feel like a Anthony Mann western made but in Italy I guess!

So, this has turned out to be my last film of the year. It was a pleasure to revisit it after obtaining the German Blu-ray. There’s still issues with the English audio but the picture quality is excellent. The storyline is simple but the performances make this film an interesting watch. There’s some very good direction and clever choices of shots. As good as I remember it!
