It was one of the first Spags on German TV, latish in 1978 or 1979.
Any leads as to where (rights owner, studio, archive, cinematheque etc.) to find negatives or other good material for this film, please speak up
Didn’t Koch release a DVD some years back? Would they still hold rights?
They sure did and it’s still a great looking DVD which is why this isn’t at the top of my most wanted upgrades to blu-ray.
Whether they held (or still do) Germany distribution rights or not, they are not the licensee.

I will keep that in mind, but most important is material to release the film in HD (ideally the negatives)
Die ursprünglichen Rechteinhaber müssten die italienische Produktionsfirma Produzioni Cinematografiche Mediterranee (PCM, Italien) und die Richard Eichberg-Film GmbH (BRD) sein. Vielleicht kann eine Nachfrage bei Koch Media bzw. Plaion Pictures weiterhelfen?
Just wondered if you might have a contact who was at Koch back in 2011 when they released that who might know who the licensee is?

Die 2011 erschienene DVD von Kochmedia wurde durch die Kinowelt GmbH lizenziert. Die Kinowelt GmbH ist noch im selben Jahr zur Studiocanal GmbH geworden. Ich hoffe, das hilft weiter.
