The Proud and Damned (Ferde Grofé Jr., 1972)

A strange wetsern. Strange because it is set in South America. A story about five confederate veterans who are adrift at sea and wind up in South America and get imbroiled in a revolution. The IMDB reviews vary tremendously. Starring Chuck Connors and Cesar Romero. Directed by Ferde Grofe jr. Filmed in Spain.

didn’t think this was too bad. a bit slow though and a kind of low budget version of" the wild bunch". film does turn surprisingly dark in it’s plotting.

Thanks for the link, korano, I’m going to watch it one of these nights
I had never heard of it, but I’ve seen Warkill from the same director, one of the most bloody and violent warmovies I have ever seen (and it predates The Wild Bunch by a year!)

Don’t think so. Probably Colombia.

I just read in a book about it. Said Spain but he could be wrong.

Somehow, I don’t believe this is an Italian (or euro) western.
Thanks for the link anyway Korano.

Haven’t seen it myself but plan to some day soon.
