The Last Western You Watched?

Sounds like a ‘must give it a try’ movie

My doctor and I liked DEAD IN TOMBSTONE. It’s not too bad.

Nevada Smith. With Steve McQueen, Karl Malden, Arthur Kennedy and Brian Keith.I watched this for a second time and I think it’s a good western. Not a great one Hathaway made some more great from this but is really good.

THE BIG GUNDOWN

Wow! I can easily see why this one makes a lot of top ten lists. Great film.

Pray to God and Dig your Grave
Muddled spaghetti that had potential to be a really good western, but it was just not the case i’m afraid. Poorly directed, scenes that didn’t make much sense, bad acting and the music was annoying at times. But, to be honest, it’s not really that bad!..(Robert Woods), yet in another Mexican role is good and so is (Jeff Cameron IMO, some action scenes are ok and the Duel at the end was done nicely also, the women are Hot. Now, the thing that startled me was in this scene below, where you can see with a sharp eye a vehicle(car) being driving down the hill. :o ??? ;D I had to rewind back 3 times to make sure i wasn’t seeing things. ;D And no, i wasn’t drinking.

Ha! I always like when you can catch goofs like that.

Maybe you saw the VHS version in which large parts are in the wrong order. Don’t remember any bad acting, and the directing is quite good. But it makes a cut and re-cut impression.

DJANGO

Nah, it’s Django driving that car.

It’s a fandub from CG taken from TV to VHS to DVD-R.

;D

Maybe Sergio Leone scouting landscape photography for DUCK, YOU SUCKER! ;D

Ha!

I was trying to think of a Leone one-liner and you beat me to it! ;D

Yesterday, I had some buddies over and they wanted to see a good non-Leone spaghetti oater. Having recently watched THE BIG GUNDOWN, I figured I’d show that to them. Unfortunately, they didn’t like it. Their loss, I suppose.

I hate when that happens! Watched A Stranger in Town last night. Not as good as Blindman but fun movie. Frank Wolff is terrific as usual.

The Man from Colorado-An excellent western drama with Glenn Ford and William Holden.I had some doubts about Ford’s acting like a disturbed persona but he was perfect as usual.

THE BEAST

How in the heck did this film go wrong? It should’ve been a killer, but nnnooo!!!

The one with Kinski? I remember it being total trash.

Yeah, the one with Kinski. I thought it had potential, but completely failed.

Yeah it’s an uber crap that with Kinski but 5 minutes by him is always funny even in this trash :D.

Five Card Stud for me tonight.I love this one.

Watched Django the Bastard. Good movie. I really liked the horror atmosphere. I’ve seen a few SWs that seem to have a horror vibe: Django Kill, And God Said to Cain, Kill the Wicked, Four of the Apocalypse. I guess Django also… Am I missing any others?
